  • What I find amazing is battery aside my OG Monster Beetle is circa 30 years old and still runs good as new. #ish

  • Been on this forum for a year and only just came across this thread! Here's my Jugg 2:

  • I love it! Bonkers. :D

  • Kinel. Is that 1 : 10 ?

  • Yup, from c.2000 I believe.

  • Finally pulled my finger out and finished all the bodywork.
I did the lights a while back, but hasn't finished the panel lines and added the various mirrors and lights.

  • That’s so good!

  • Loving the panel lining. Pen? 🤔

  • It's pretty wobbly, but yes, done with a fine point Staedtler permanent fibre pen marker. I tried a really thin line marker, but it really didn't work.

  • We really should do a Tamiya-LFGSS meetup.

  • I am game.

Need to finish building the "lairy" TT02 first.
(or bring the very unlairy DT03 if we are off-roading...)

  • Anyone know any good spots in London?

  • Nearest off road track is a long way out. There’s an on road one a bit closer .

  • Brixton Beach for a skatepark bash session.

  • Need a basher...

  • They are all shelf queens until they become bashers...

  • #reminisce #basher

  • Neither of the cars I'm building are bashers, so a skate park is out, but if we can find somewhere with a lot of fine gravel, that might be fun. Merton Abbey Mills springs to mind, but not so accessible for public transport.

  • How about the Olympic park?
Mind you Crystal Palace isn't far from me.

  • Can you get on the 1/8 road track at Crystal Palace park? It always used to be open when I was a kid but I can't tell if there's a fence round it these days.

  • It’s currently under threat of being demolished as well - still run by the local club, I think.

  • I mean, I work there so would selfishly get my vote. XD

  • BITD I used to race 1:10 off road at Chingford by the Golf course.

One Sunday, this must be around 1994, a driver on the Rostrum turned round to descend the steps to get to the track to pick his car up just as a golf ball sailed over the fence in to the area we raced in. It hit him squarely in the nuts and he doubled up and collapsed. To my nine year old self this was obviously hilarious.

  • I used to race in Southend. The club still exists, haven't been home in years. I still have my Hotshot.

  • It’s hilarious to my 43year old self
