First oval chainrings now oval wheels?
I'm not a fan, but I'll give it the benefit of the doubt due to the photo or bike angle.

Keep looking at carbon bikes!! Do I need one nope, do I want one yes. But is it worth the change from the Stayer...
Only real reason is I never have had a carbon bike, I work from home so do lunch time blasts and expect to do a few events this year so really not needing a full weather bike..

Take the guards off, borrow or buy some 50/60mm carbon rims with 30c GP5000 and see if it scratches the itch..?!

Carbon is a fake material. I don’t think anyone has ever seen a carbon bike in real life. They’re a myth.

Ok sure.
I do have Hunt X wide 35s which have my Rene Herse on maybe I should try it but think smaller tyres would look a little silly on this frame, hence why I don’t think it will help scratch the itch

A shame that most brands don't put any effort on doing good alloy bikes anymore

Plus why are bikes so expensive these days!!
-
• #29397
Because people keep paying it.

Carbon can actually be repaired to a good level - guess this is a fairly solid argument, particularly for gravel.

What guards are you running over 50's?

Saw this on strava and thought of you lot. Looks like a try hard version of my Arkose.
