tbh I've only started reading the first book to my son, but had a vague idea there was a Fred and googled it with the sole purpose of making that lame joke.

Blonde Redhead were quality tonight. Me and my mate went in not really expecting much but they blew us away. The drum mix was especially impressive throughout.

They're like 40E in some Euro cities. I could fly (I know, I know - I wouldn't, just saying) over and watch them in NL cheaper than taking the tube to the gig in London :S

Saw Meute at a horrible grim wet festival in Northern Germany last summer - they were first on in the afternoon , rain driving into the stage … really awful conditions but they were brilliant , got a massive soaked crowd going , dancing in the mud - a million times better than all the other shite on later that day

Haha fucking hell I'm just going to try and see them in Germany.

I use the Dice app a lot but for tickets for small club/pub venues where they have never asked for the barcode - person on the door usually has a printed list , a pen and ruler , asks your name and then smudges something on your hand.

They're the days I remember. Then it was emailed barcodes to scan. Now apps? I must be too old to be listening to live music.

I've been to gigs recently where the average age upstairs at the live band was probably 50-60 and downstairs in the bar the 20-30s were out for the pub quiz.

Dice is pretty decent. Viagogo is the devil.

Exactly. Plus its an app that actually works and has decent UX.

I definitely already have a Ticketmaster account so maybe that's the least worst option for selling my soul.
