  • And use some soap ffs

  • Lol. Yeah. I said cold soak but meant cold wash. Not washing jeans is gross and very 2007. Just wash 'em. They'll look better, be comfier and won't be gross and disgusting. The jeans on the left were washed probably once a month for like 3 years. No issues.

  • Warehouse Lot 900XX(slim)
    Burgus 955x

Was hoping that they might have the Warehouse 2nd hand jeans in a longer length but they’re all the same 29inch so same as they have in Clutch

  • Solid. Yeah, 2nd hands definitely only come in 29. The denim used on those 900s is my fave of all time.

  • to carry it on , ih634n [washed dozens of times, even at a heathen 60°c],, given they are a 36 waist worn yesterday and today I'm wearing Dawson 34 standard it's fair to say they are roomy

  • I have a pair of Hiuts for sale in the classifieds if anyone wants to take a look...

  • Yo dawg I heard you like turnups.

  • My local TKMaxx had Folk "selvedge" in stock, not sure how "proper selvedge" they are but they feel a better quality than the other offerings in there, and were £50.

I've been eyeing up HebTroCo jeans, but the 925 are £230 and maybe more than I would ideally spend.
From looking at them, Community Clothing are now appearing all over my socials, cheaper (at a ton a pair) anyone have experience of them?

  • I bought some of the Folk bits last year, they look ok but you definitely get what you pay for, they are not the best quality at all.

On one pair the stiching on the waist has come away, and I haven't really worn them much.

  • Haha, I pretend it's a salty beach look, I'm not 4' high honest

  • TK Maxx Kingston has folk 13.5oz selvage in black and indigo.

  • Thinking of re-dying my black Oni black again. I don't like how they don't look fresh anymore. For reference here they are.

Plan to use a cold soak to minimize shrink.

    Convince me not to.

  • I’ve got the coverall jacket in the same cloth, no plans to re-dye mine!
I only got it in spring and now that winter’s here, it likely won’t get worn again for awhile, but I really like it, including the wearing in, fading, and softening process.

  • They look nice. I know not in the same league, but I re-dyed my Edwin black Selvedge with Dylon machine dye and they came out just fine

  • Gonna do it.

I have plenty of broken in denim in rotation already. I like these crispy. Got two helpings and will freshen up a few other items also.

There's something neat about a jet black worn out t shirt.

  • New jeans day

Surprisingly comfortable straight out of the bag.

  • Where is a good place to go and actually try on some proper jeans?

I'd like something nicer than the Uniqlo offering but not obscenely priced.

I've tried Jeanstore but am struggling to find a nice fit when trying one pair of jeans on a week, I feel like I could be done in an hour if I just went somewhere that had a load of jeans in stock, displayed in a manner that made it obvious what the fit was. I don't really do a whole lot of fashion shopping so I don't know where's good for general clothes.

I quite liked the denim of the Naked & Famous ones I tried on but the Super guy were too tight at the top and the Weird Guy were too loose at the bottom so I mustn't be the shape for them!

  • Son of a stag? too pricey?

https://www.albamclothing.com/collections/jeans does good jeans as well, a bit lesser priced. Same with Edwin.

  • I found sonofstag a cross between mad house and a jumble sale didn't like, but rivet and hide very boutique like but through that excellent knowledge and as much time for you as you want, personally I fear I'd be out priced - their website has good organisation too... Think Soho maybe your best bet I forget the shops name

  • @kboy & @bluehuw - thank you, I'll check those out.

  • Nudie. They have a couple of stores central

  • In addition to the others:

American Classics and Levi's London Haus (previously Cinch). Both on Newburgh Street.
    Blackhorse Lane Atelier.
Most of the major department stores (Selfridges, Liberty, etc) have selvedge for sale so you could try on.

Son Of A Stag does have more affordable denim from Edwin, Tellason, although appreciate that is relative.

  • clutch cafe I've always found to be really friendly too
