Require a new phone. Thinking pixel of some description. Had a pixel 5 and a oneplus 5t before that.
Pixel 7 pro is 849 on google's store. There is one on ebay for 649
That is too much of a difference to not be suspicious? 99% positive feedback. Description says arbitrage and they get them from other markets letting them sell them at lower prices
By contrast, there is a pixel 8 on there for like 100 quid below google price from an individual seller which seems more legit.

Quite a timely question as looks to have been discussed last week. Only things I care about on the phone are good camera and decent battery, but it does get a fair bit of use. Dead pixel chat not making an ebay purchase look attractive

I have a Pixel 6 Pro in very good condition that I'm looking to shift, DM me if interested.

Fuck buying phones off ebay. People are idiots.
I stopped that shit like 10 years ago.
"Unlocked HTC yada yada"
"This phone is locked to Three"
"Oh, sorry""Brand new"
"This phone has clearly been used and doesn't work"
"Oh, sorry" -

TBF I think eBay has gotten much better, or perhaps just sides with the buyer, in the intervening years

Burned enough to not bother. My experience with a faulty phone from Amazon on the other hand was very good. They immediately sent another and I returned the faulty one.

Why is my upcoming alarm on my lock screen always wrong? It's always something like 5 or 10 minutes into the future (nothing really consistent) and has been on multiple phones and versions of android.
-
• #22759
You've set the wrong alarm time?
It has the 'wake up light' thing enabled that lights up your phone screen to wake you up more gently?
You're a time traveler?
-
• #22760
It's neither of the first two so guess it must be the third.
At 1042 it is showing the next alarm as 1044.
At 1056 it is showing the next alarm as 1057.
-
• #22761
What time did you set the alarm for? Have you set the snooze so that it returns every 2mins or something?
-
• #22762
It's just one recurring alarm at 7.30 each weekday morning. No snooze or anything. Shows up correctly on the clock but not the lockscreen.
At 1057 it's now showing 1107.

That's a weird one for sure. Are you saying it has the current time wrong or the time of the next alarm wrong? Are you sure it's displaying the alarm time and not another country's time? Could it be that whatever it's using to get latest time is wrong (ie. your carrier)? Hmm
What model phone?
Can you remove and re-add the lock screen clock to see if it updates?

Been running a huawei P20 pro since launch, 5 years now I think its been going, orignal battery on its last legs. Could get it repaired as otherwise hardware wise phone does everything I need it to do. Firmware though starting to have issues, UK not so bad, but moved to Vietnam and tonnes of VN app's just don't work (VN and China do not get on) without me rooting phone.
Pixel 8 pro? Over here its RRP is approx £840, they don't really do contracts, you buy handset and a sim package, together or separate. 4gb a day on 4/5G is approx £13 for 3 months, so kinda irrelevant compared to the handset price.
Or there is that 'Fairphone' job? No idea where I'd find one here but seems like its probably also made here.

I think it has too, esp if instant issue, but do worry a bit about an issue 6-18 months down the line

• #22766
Probably want to buy new but will pm. Thanks

Seems it may be something buried deep in Tasker's settings. I've turned Reliable Alarms off and now it doesn't seem to be showing anything on the lock screen (although annoyingly not even the next actual alarm now).

Ah, you have customised the software running on it to the point of user confusion and inevitable failure. Would you like a job?

If bobble isn't interested, could you let me know how much you'd want for it please?

Drag up to cards
This would be great advice if I knew what the hell this meant haha
I'm currently affected by this, can't take pictures or download anything
