  • Thanks for this. Interesting analysis as always. Rate these dudes.

  • What's the thinking behind removing them?

  • My thoughts too

  • The last paragraph being inflammatory, and more along the lines of what Israel are doing to Palestinians.

  • Last paragraph isn't untrue though?

Removing or defacing missing/kidnapped people's photos doesn't seem like the nicest thing to do.

  • Seems like guerrilla marketing / propaganda on the streets of London where evidently, most more and more people are showing empathy to the Palestinian cause.

Good luck trying that nonsense in Green Lanes. Don't think any of the local demographic will take issue with removing them and they'll be gone before you know it. Heck I would remove them too. It's clearly incendiary.

  • The last paragraph is a factual statement of what happened. Do you deny that?

  • I do empathise. But like I said it's clearly incendiary use of language and tone, especially if you're sticking them up anywhere on Green Lanes.

As for the paragraph, no I don't believe it in totality, which is another reason I think it deserves removal and is fanning the flames.

Some of those allegations (like rape) have not yet been proven. Forward, an independent Jewish paper wrote this very thing too and mentioned that the LA Times made the same observation.

  • Rape?

I believe it to be inflammatory, especially to the demographic of the area that the posters were fly posted.

There has been many accusations of rape being used as an interogation technique by the Israeli, and in Israeli prisons.

Fascinating and terrifying analysis of the hospital bombing on C4 news

  • Is there a way to see it without a twitter/X account?

  • Not sure what you mean. Was my post unclear?

@hoefla - the twitter post says their analysis casts doubt on ‘IOF’ (IDF?) claim that Palestinian rocket caused hospital explosion.

  • There has been many accusations of rape being used as an interogation technique by the Israeli, and in Israeli prisons.

How dare they complain about rape, they reportedly do it themselves all the time!
At least they didn’t complain about decapitated babies…

  • Yes I can see the post linked. I thought there might be more detail in a 'thread' or whatever it's called. You used to be able to see that without signing in. Now it's just the single post.

  • You can thank Musk for that. Only reason I'm signed into Twitter again.

  • I’m not following this particularly acutely, so apologies in advance, but the decapitation thing, is it total bullshit or is there any truth to it?

  • I understand there are many decapitated people, but people are disputing the decapitated children and rape because they haven’t seen the pictures/videos themselves.

I read this report, which is fucking horrible (no pictures)
    https://abcnews.go.com/amp/International/horror-israeli-authorities-show-footage-hamas-atrocities-reporters-notebook/story?id=104015431

Apparently images, video and evidence of both rape and decapitated children exist, but we’re not shared.

It’s possible that images/videos of both don’t exist, but considering much of the slaughtering was captured on action cameras worn by militants, with the intention of outrage and terror, I find it far fetched that a group of militants happy to record themselves mashing a dying man’s face with their boots on a gopro would draw the line at rape.

  • Calling these incidents ‘wars’ is verging on preposterous.

I continue to argue that Hamas are accelerationists.

The 7 October atrocities have provoked Israel into razing Gaza. I say this not to justify the response, but it was a reasonable expectation that Israel’s current Netanyahu-led government would react this way. By moving to raze Gaza, the rest of the Arab world will, in this logic, be forced to take a side - to either acquiesce in Israel’s ethnic cleansing of the Strip or to intervene to prevent it. Such an intervention could mean a wider war in which Israel’s existence would be at stake - and if Israel has alienated the wider world through the brutality of its response, perhaps its western backers would be less inclined to save it.

So, at least, Hamas’ logic appears to me - and Mashaal’s answers are consistent with that at least the first part of it: that this was intended to tip Israel into a far more conspicuously brutal course of action that would force neighbouring countries to take a stand.

  • Again, no evidence (to my knowledge) and still another allegation, which more respectable agencies either didn't report (due to not being substantiated) or retracted. The White House even clarified that Biden was talking out of his ass when he claims to have seen such pics: https://www.nbcnews.com/news/amp/rcna119865

Edit: I'm giving off that NBC is respectable lol. That's not what I meant. I mean that better publications are far more careful with their choice of words, based upon the facts and evidences available.
