Out of interest, has any tried the Giro Blaze winter boots? I struggle with cycling shoes due to a broken and weirdly shaped foot. I know Giro works for my misshapen hoof so those would probably be the winter shoes I'd go for if they're decent.

do you have a hench front flap fitted to the guard too?
My feet were getting soaked after the front flap broke off my cargo bike, just fitted another

Pretty decent I’d say - PDW fenders.

Mudguards seems a bit narrow for the tyres on there.

Not bad… could be better ;-). Feet will still get quite wet from road spray I reckon

Might be what is recommended by the manufacturers but I usually go one over i.e. sks p50 instead of 45 for hybrids.

Nice ride!!
The risk of getting wet feet from front wheel splash is significantly reduced on your steed due to the distance you are from (it I reckon).

Fanx! And Kinda, but I was getting seriously wet feet when the old flap snapped off!

That new one is a mighty low rider!!
I'd love to have a spin on one of those one day.

They’re great bikes. This new one is low but nice n flexible so won’t snap when dropping down curbs etc :)

So all I need is a bigger flap, and an extra 2 feet between the pedals and front wheel somehow. Would fox the toe overlap at least ;)

Yes, if you’re serious about dry feet it’s the bare minimum :-)

• #118871
Nah, wider fenders works too.

I’ve just installed an absolutely mega flap on my regular bike as well, cos I was getting wet feet in the rain 🥹. May be overkill, and I mighhht cut it down

Eurocrates, i need to buy some euro crates for storage of various sizes and some with lids, I hate google as it’s just about who can pay for the top listing, where is the go-to supplier of ones in standard sizes with lids?

The mudflap arms race has begun.
My set up for the last few years has been mudguards, neoprene overshoes and/or waterproof socks. If my shoes are wet when I arrive at work, I stuff them with newspaper and put them next to a radiator. Socks get changed to some non waterproof ones, waterproof socks and overshoes also go next to the radiator. Nice dry, toasty feet for the ride home.
Having said that, I would really like some proper winter shoes.
