Honestly I'm not even that interested in seeing AJ fight fury - at least not until he gives a performance that suggests he might have a chance in hell, which currently he hasn't for 4-5 years. This probably means fury will now take the fight and it will be dull and one sided. Would much rather see fury fight usyk or Joyce.

Nice little piece on Joe Joyce from Buncey: https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/boxing/joe-joyce-zhilei-zhang-steve-bunce-b2317724.html

Interestingly, didn't mention that Joyce's jab looks like he's wanking off a man on a ladder.

From the BBC article on Joyce...
Joyce travels around London on a two-wheeler Segway, has a degree in fine arts and is a keen gamer. In November 2020, Joyce paused a video game before his fight with Dubois. After stopping his 25-year-old rival in the 10th round, Joyce returned home to continue his game.
Zhang should've won against Hrgovic. I don't think it'll be as easy as the odds suggest.

I trust you went against those odds?
-
• #1882
Oh No. I think a Zhang win was around 7-1?
Of course now everyone seems to think Joyce is a bum, ignoring the fact that he didn't go down, and if the eye wasn't as bad I think he probably would've won the fight due to Zhang slowing in the latter rounds.

Caught up on this late. Disappointed for Joyce as he seems like a genuinely decent bloke but he took it humbly, Joshua could take a few pointers here. Seems his ability to eat punches and keep going was tested to failure. Maybe need to work on his on his guard and movement, not good long term to be taking as many hits as he does. Against Parker it looked impressive as they rolled off him and he ploughed on, against Zhang it finished him off.

Wonder what Canelo version is stepping through the ropes tomorrow. First home fight in over a decade and on cinco de mayo weekend. I imagine the crowd will be well lubricated and in good voice for this one.

Inoue is too good.

Stunning display

So, Terrence Crawford, then…

That might be pushing things a weight limit too far, Fulton was visibly bigger and Crawford is bigger still. Also, Crawford's ko record is rather different to Fulton's. Not that I doubt thar Inoue is the best boxer on the planet currently.

Not comparing the two, just caught up with his fight with Spence Jr. Absolutely dismantled a guy unbeaten in 28 fights. Incredible stuff.

They'll be saying this about Dubois in a couple of weeks. Maybe.

Heavyweight continues to disappoint.
I’ve no doubt Fury is the best heavyweight but his failure to prove this is an odd one.
Whyte failing another test, would be the end of the road if he gets a suspension you’d think. -

Joshua will now face Helenius -https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/boxing/66437938
Hrgovic and Chisora are also on the bill so probably just about worth watching.

If only for Hrgovic.

Pretty tempted to back Zhang

He was seriously convincing last time around. I'd like to think with proper focus and subtler game plan beyond take punches to land some, JJ will make a much better fist of it this time....

Just seen Joyce weighed in 25lb heavier!?
I’ve not made that bet but can’t see that helping him!?! -

A big bang

Didn’t place the bet, maybe I should think about running bets, rather than one offs

Fury Usyk on? Picks? Very tempted to make the pilgrimage
Aj needs to hurry up and fight wilder or fury. The wait is infuriating. My money is on fury
