  • Alternatively - do you fancy a Credit Agricole frame to match your pedals??

I'm sorted for look now so this one's available...

  • I absolutely would but I can tell that is too tall for me :(

  • Following @dbr 's très belle 586 in black/white/red above, here's my 585 Origin in white/red/black:

  • Reference the world's slowest project, building my Look KG131 (similar to picture a few posts back), does anyone have any idea of tyre clearances in these frames? It's a size 59 c/c if that makes any difference.

  • any idea of tyre clearances in these frames?

In general, tight. The 90s were the years of 23mm tyres for everything road

  • Ahhhh jeez...... but thanks anyway.

  • Ahhhh

FWIW, the 1996 catalogue lists one tyre option for KG131 full builds, the Vittoria Pro Lite 19 😁

  • Lovely lines and colorway

    Cockpit weights 350g*

    (*270 of it electrical tape)

  • Thanks for posting. Look also send out an email newsletter where they discussed the 795 RS.

But it didn't have this lovely picture.

  • That’s v nice.

  • Agreed, they should have led with this one in the announcement. Sorely tempting ('sorely' not least because of the starting price...)

But neither the 'thin Mondrian' on the launch video nor the 5 colourways on the Look website are my cup of tea... and a shame they didn't do a Cofidis colourway.

  • Without the logo, you’d never tell it apart from any other manufacturer. They’re all exactly the same. So boring.

  • Oh. So the Mondrian paint job is not available to buy? Surely that’s a commercial error?

  • as bland as possible

  • Agree, the pictures with the proper Mondrian look really LOOK (and I love it, but that is personal). You might not buy your Ferrari in red, but Ferrari is associated to red, and LOOK to Mondrian. the black is actually having a thin Mondrian scheme, but honestly that doesn't count.

Also do agree that LOOK frames used to have a more distinctive shape... but enforcing it just for the sake of it is maybe not the way to go

  • Surely the Mondrian will be available to buy once the tdf starts. The fact they put it on the display stand shows they know it’s the desirable model.

  • Without the logo, you’d never tell it apart from any other manufacturer.

There are good reasons for that, but it also seems like a good reason for Look to go all-in with the Mondrian scheme as that is now the differentiator. It's hard to see anybody buying a Look who doesn't specifically want a Look

  • It would be a good reason to go all in, but from what i see it is very timid Mondrian.
Eye-pleasing but on the whole the photoshoot looks aimed at catching a new clientele with a lot of choice rather than enforcing the historical Look scheme.

  • the whole the photoshoot looks aimed at catching a new clientele with a lot of choice

Yeah, I don't mind if they do matt OD green gravel bikes for hipsters with no knowledge of history, but they should always do a full Mondrian option for fanboys too. I bet we'd even pay more for it🙂
