When I had an Aerolight, it arrived with the J-shaped metal housing between the forks grimy and needing a good clean to get the cable moving smoothly. I ended up swapping it out for a Jagwire 'EZ bend segment' which worked a bit better (albeit I could never quite get the brake lever flush with the fork...).

Yellow prince bite a bit better, carbon never gonna bite well and have half the lifespan of an alu rims.

Try going compression-less housing to get a little more power.

The headtubes are so high on 795 framesets! Looks like an XXL but it's a medium!

They look long because of the dropped down tube and lifted top tube. A medium 795 Blade RS disc has the same stack and reach as a medium 585

I have an old LOOK KG 131 I am about to build up. Coming from an MTB background I am clueless about road bike headsets/ steerers/ threaded/ threadless etc. I do know my Look fork is threaded 1 inch. Can anyone tell me what exactly I need to buy to achieve a similar look to the bike cockpit below? Thank you

Although that's not actually an upgrade over just using a quill stem. I'd stick to an age-appropriate look

Thank you Manc. In this instance I think the 'modern' version looks better than a quill age-appropriate. I think LOOKs suit a slammed stem.

2023 update

Showing my 586SL some love after being the same for ages. SRAM Red etap, PRO carbon aero bars, fresh from eBay a pair of Hunt carbon spoked space hoops. Insane bargain, free GP5000s, turns out they’re the Ceramicspeed version too.
