  • I find myself listening to Gideon Coe's shows with a sense of melancholy given I've enjoyed it immensely over the years.

A real treat for late night listening.

Now he's going to be sharing with that gonk that's on at 7. ๐Ÿ˜‘

  • I like Iggy, but I actually prefer Tom Robinson. He seems to have different themes and the music is so diverse.

  • Final Gideon Coe show tonight

    Go easy one and all

  • All these mental health and wellbeing trailers are really fucking winding me up. Will be forced to listen to the bloody thing at this rate.

  • stand aside radio 4, lauren lavenrne is explaining the humans neural networks with her chum.

gawd bless these little science bites, just what your average radio 6 music is waiting for.

i vividly remember john peels investigation into quantum computers during one of his shows back in the the 1990's ...... life changing information

stick to playing music you wombles

  • You can win tickets to Pilton Pop Festival (Glasto) today. Whether you want to go is another matter.

Listen out to the live tracks and guess the year. So far they had Lily Allen who my Google sleuthing tells me performed in 2007,2008,2009,2014.

  • The LL morning show is turning more and more into the One Show of the airwaves.
Full of lazy BBC cross-promotional talk to big up their mates and co-workers.
This is not what I want in the morning :(

  • Does anybody else listen through an Apple TV? I used to use MyTuner, but it appears theyโ€™ve cut that feed now.

  • I've been listening back to Deb and Tom in the mornings while LL's show is on, then switching back to live radio after that. Seems to be a pretty good way round things.

  • Just had a memory of radio becoming a real comfort during lockdown. We don't have a TV so it provided an almost permanent connection to the outside world. Just me?

  • Same. No TV so having the radio on in the evening is a great comfort. Daytime R6 is highly irritating despite the often excellent music.

  • We have it on in the workshop so never listening enough to get too annoyed. I do like LL though. Generally good once they're off the daytime A/B playlist thing

  • NERD so 2009 then. I can't see if they played another year

  • 2009 Blur played too.

If you win and get through to Lamac then take the opportunity to call him a twat :)

  • Consider it done

  • Anyone know when Glastonbury is due to start?

  • oh is it glastonbury time, why aren't radio 6 mentioning it at all ?

  • Never been to Glasto, but the live tracks they're playing are getting me a bit excited to watching a bit of live music in a field in August. (I only do Victorious now, because I can cycle home in approximately 4 minutes and sleep in my own bed afterwards. Fuck camping.)

  • Cue Lamo's show later with some amazing new features:

"do you remember your first [insert festival name here]?"

"do you remember a time at [insert festival name here] when you woke up in someone's else tent?"

    AND SO ON...

I can't wait for [insert festival name here] to be over already.

  • I can't wait for [insert festival name here] to be over already.

    [ radio 6's reporting of glastonbury ]

  • Jim Bob revisiting 1992 headline set right now

    https://youtu.be/fttbU3OLLzk

  • Jesus how annoying are greendaugrohl thingys
Plus whats wrong with the radio 2 presenters eyes ?

  • That setlist - talk about all killer no filler...

  • It was ace. I saw a similar set at the Assembly Rooms in '92 too.
