Bike shop recommendations not too far a drive from croydon for a full build?
I have a frame and almost all the parts required, barr cables and pedals, can drop it all on in the car, where would you recommend to build it?

Guess I’ll be paying it then. Thanks for ruining my weekend

I've used SE20 Cycles in Penge a few times and been happy with all of the work they've done. Really friendly guys as well. I've only used them for small, straightforward bits but sure they'd do a good job of a full build.

Anyone familiar with CT bikes?
I ordered from them on 2nd march and haven't got a dispatch notification or received my order. Calling them doesn't get an answer.

Sorry, didn’t realize you meant common usage in 1900

I meant common usage where English is spoken properly

I've been back, by bike, since and didn't get my collar felt so I might be in the clear. I don't remember showing my passport at a border control though.
It wasn't a speeding fine, instead was a final bill from my phone/internet provider. I phoned and cancelled the contract and the person I spoke to said there was no further fees to pay. Then a few months later they sent my a bill for like 30 Sfr and I emailed back and disputed it. I didn't hear anymore but then got a letter from a debt recovery company maybe six months later. I ignored that too.
Knowing the Swiss, I'm probably on a felons list somewhere.

I'd have recommended them too, as they've a few jobs for me over the past 6 months or so. Then I booked in a bike build and have to say, I'm not overly impressed. The front derailleur rubs like a bastard and they basically gave up trying to fit mudguards after bodging the rear (which the tyre was rubbing) and told me the mudguards were for rim brake bikes only. Which is bollocks as they are PDW and I've got exactly the same pair on another disc braked bike.
I went to Bromley Bike Co, who fitted the first pair, and they sorted out both front and rear for me for £25.

Oh really? Never mind then!

To be fair, it had taken longer than expected and I think they were worried I was going to get annoyed because it wasn't ready, so they may have rushed it at the end. I'll probably book it back in soon to get the steerer chopped and see if they can sort out the front mech (presuming I don't have time to do so).

They took their time sorting out my bike, called me it was done, it wasn’t. But I think that was miscommunication between the two of them. They fixed it and didn’t charge me.
Also their work has been good / great in rebuilding my 1x cross bike into a 2x do it all bike. Shifting has been great. They like an engineering challenge too.

Ah, I accept your humble admission in that case

Let's chat shit for a minute. In the UK when did it become a thing to pick up after your dog? We were discussing it at home. We got the last three dogs post '04 and it was the done thing then but there was a time when it didn't.

I reckon early 90s. I stood in a lot of dog poo as a kid, but not so much at secondary school.

The Dogs (Fouling of Land) Act 1996 gave LAs powers to designate areas where dog waste must be picked up so around then?

I always pictured fetishes starting later in life

That would explain it. Thanks.

Has the analogue radio signal been turned down or something? Have had a dreadful signal in the car for ages now. Was in another car at the weekend and it could hardly pick up any stations either.
-
• #116446
Out here we’re having problems receiving stations due to unregistered local ones impinging on the signal. Fucking CRTC seems incapable or unwilling to enforce. I mean like really local, somewhere in the hood.
Not your issue obviously. -

Oh thank you - please do send me some pictures!

• #116448
Yes they responded to my email quickly!

Remind me tomorrow, not workshopping today

Anyone familiar with LordGun bicycles and any reason I shouldn't buy online from them E. G. Despite seeming to be UK based are they actually in Europe or the US and I will get hit with long delays and / or import tax on purchases?
The transition date is consistent with 'merkins ruining everything 🙂
