Anyone familiar with LordGun bicycles
I had this same question a while back, bought some tyres no one else had in stock, they arrived, no issues.

Answering my own question here but it actually appears to be based in Brescia, Italy so likely to get hit by import tax.

Thanks both

We had this question a few pages back. Medium & large EU shops should be collecting UK VAT at the checkout on orders under £135, so there's no delay or payment to receive them. They can, but some don't, collect VAT and duty on larger orders and have their inbound freight agent handle the payment to HMRC so you don't have to.

Derailleur hanger alignment tools - plenty around the £30-£40 mark from brands I've never heard vs Park etc at double the price.
Anything significant to look out for?

Pay even more and get an abbey tools one.
Some cheaper ones are probably OK but I've used a cheap one that had loads of unadjustable play at the main pivot, you can compensate for it but it's far from ideal, probably OK for occasional home use. -

You need to ask them. All the expensive Lego sets I buy are shipped from the EU but Lego do the paperwork/customs/VAT/bribes and it doesn't cost me any extra.

I've got something stuck in the usb-c port in my phone, suspect it may be a bit of grit or something that then got pushed further in and jammed when I plugged the charger in.
I tried to lever it out with a thin safety pin but the pin just bent. Any suggestions on how to get it out? Cheers

I had the same thing - used some modelling tools to get it out, worked a treat.

Suck on it really hard

I was going to use with an Abbey tool for getting hood alignment spot on actually. I'll probably take a punt on a cheaper hanger tool for now if I can find one with believable reviews.
Edit £235, wow!

Fucking hell, I should sell ours, it's nice and all but the park ones work just as well.

Zipcar - do the vans typically have generic phone holders for navigation?
-
• #116467
Most modern vans have built in sat nav, typically on a VW Trainspotter it's on the main multimedia screen in the centre of the dashboard. The latest ones also have wireless Android Auto and Apple Car Play, some older ones you need a USB cable connection.

No, take your own (I just use a cheap sucker type one) and, as tester suggests, a USB cable.
Whilst many Zipcars/vans will have SatNav built in it's often way out of date and unaware of traffic. Last time I tried to use it it tried to direct me over the Hammersmith Bridge that has been shut for 3 years. Google maps works twelfty times better as long as you have something to mount it to to comply with the law.

Current Trainspotters come with a SIM for OTA map updates, but agreed that hooking your own phone to the built in screen is the optimum. There will be a cubby hole to put your phone in, so no need for a holder. If it's a new van you shouldn't need a cable for the connection, but you'll want to use one anyway for charging as running navigation and a wireless screen mirror burns through your battery pretty fast

To me.
I thought they were based in Germany.
Edit- a search of their site says they're in Italy
