Quick Q - is a flat bar conversion a big job?

I was building mine up like that in the first place, so it wasn’t a conversion as such. You’d need MTB brake levers, shifters and derailleurs.

My Croix de Fer was a 56 for this same reason. Managed to just about make it fit when I'd normally ride a 58 too.

I sold my old 56 because I didn't like the aesthetic it had... 54.5 top tube meant 120mm stem and lay back post.

I thought the same - get an ebay sniper before the auction ends and use that! My iBidder is good and has worked well for me in the past.

No idea. Didn’t buy it new. Current standards though. Thru and flat mount.

I was napping at the time the auction ended and missed out.

It went for 220 which is a very good price too... :(
