I hate it that new frames never come reamed and faced.
Good to see the frame is developing a nice patina👌 -

It's disappointing, but makes the frame's cost appear lower. Lucky to have a friend with nice tools, so it only costed me a train ticket.

Love the bike, possibly love the Forward control Land Rover more, learned to drive in one we had on our small holding when I was a kid.
Looks like a series 1 in the garage as well, guessing your mate with the headset tools is a Land Rover enthusiast. -

His dad. :)
Called one a Jeep by accident, almost got kicked off the property.

@Sig_Arlecchino, thanks! It's a weird geometry, you can find a drawing here. Basically an aggressive road geo with a 74º head tube and 73,5º (effective) seat tube, but it looks slacker because of the bent seat tube. The bent seat tube gave me super short 385mm chain stays with ±38mm tyre clearance, these tyres measure 36mm. The top tube has a heavy slope for a shorter tube. Total build is 7,0kg.
@mig, that's right! I learned to drive in that right-hand drive series 1. The forward control is a left-hand drive 2A 109. The 2a FC is pretty common in the UK, but only 25 were built left-hand drive and this is one of them. Both that white 2a in front of it and the FC have been through most of Europe.
@Tijs sorry for hijacking your thread.

Such a dreamy build. Love the geometry with the short chainstays and curved seattube. In fact, it kind of reminds me of some artisanal french framebuilders who used curved seatstays and intricate internal routing. The weight is pretty impressive, too.
P.s. sorry for continuing the hijacking :/ -

The ticking sound seems to be gone. Whether the facing fixed it, or maybe just reassembling the headset I don't know. Nice ride today!

Love it.
Along with your Muddy Fox (especially the drop bar build), one of my favourite forum bikes. -

Thanks! They’re two of my favourite bikes too. 😄

I liked the look with the black tyres more tbh but I hope you'll enjoy the improved ride qualities 👌
