Finally someone is asking the correct questions
But do not worry as I can reassure you it is there - just on the NDS. Funky lil plot twist by them frenchies π€‘

It appears I have just bought a NOS Look KG 131 from 1995. Would anyone happen to know the steerer size on such a machine?

Gotta be 1β
There are old Look catalogues available online with a bit of Googling - I think they have details like that.

Which look?

Red and black? Yep, 1" headtube, 25.0 seat tube and not much clearance for tires in fork. 25mm are the biggest you'll get in there without risk of rub.

Yes red and black. Thank you all for the help.
I see Thomson still do a 25mm post.... in black only, which is a shame as ideally I would like silver. Appears an old Campag may fit.
I already have a Columbus minimal fork but have a feeling it would not be right for this.

Sorry, another query re. my Look KG 131 - Assuming the Look dural forks are threaded, what (silver) headset/ paraphernalia do I need to be able to run a 'modern' stem and bars? (I am an MTBer venturing for the first time into the world of tarmac)
-
• #3118
You'll need an ahead adapter if you wanna use a modern stem.
Another possibility is use a quill stem and 26,0mm compact drops like Deda Piega or Soma Highway or so, which looks better on an old frame imo

only comes with the saddle right?

what (silver) headset/ paraphernalia do I need
A few options here: https://www.sjscycles.co.uk/headsets-1-threaded/
I'd probably go Tange Levin, they've been making them the same way for about 100 years for a reason, but take measurements to make sure the stack height works. I suspect OE fit might have been Stronglight A9 as that was the de rigueur French headset in those days. -

It's not just a possibility, it's essential. Adapters always look rank. Cinelli 1A is in production, look no further.

Donβt worry it not BXP, itβs the cheap light bicycle pads that came within the wheelset.
