can't you take multiple screenshots?

Surprised to find scrolling pages are actually handled by Android - after taking a screenshot there is a 'capture more' button which does just that.
Also, have realised that the app doesn't always allow text selection and copying - so the screenshot method is effective. Thanks!

Anyone have a free, easy way of converting those Live images (HEIF or HEIC or whatever Pixel uses) into animated gif or something useful? Or, a way to view them on Windows without paying MS the dollar or whatever they're asking for the codecs?

Google photos on the phone, hit the three dots > export > gif

I did not know that and had been pondering the same. Cheers.

Can't get rid of a voice mail notification on my samsung sa52. It just won't swipe off even though the voice mail has been deleted. Has anyone had the same ?

Is the Pixel 6a the thinking man's choice at £300 to replace a smashed 4a?

What's the general view on Android tablets? Was considering getting a Samsung Tab S7 but I keep hearing people say Android is a cack OS for tablets. Unlikely to be using it for much beyond watching TV/films/YouTube and typing stuff while touring so I don't have to take my computer, so maybe that won't be an issue.
Or should I clear off to the Apple thread and ask about the iPad?

I've been using this A7 (SM-T500) for a couple of years for general web browsing and watching YouTube etc. Works fine. Can suffer from low processing power and shortage of Ram on some badly designed sites, but I suspect that's 90% due to Firefox which, whatever its virtues, seems to be an inefficient browser. If you get a current Tab S and use Chrome, you'll probably never notice any problems.

I bought a 6a a few months ago for £399 before the 7-series was launched with the price reduction that you can gain from.
What else is there to buy?
A few Chinese phones with limited Android updates and time limited security updates.
Do any of them have a UK-based service centre?
There might be a Samsung.
What do you use a mobile for?
I track activities, listen to podcasts, take a few pictures, check emails and read a few websites everyday. The 6a does all this adequately. GPS acquisition is sometimes a little flaky. Battery life routinely gets me through a full day.
A micro sd card slot would be useful.
I just have to transfer photos to a laptop.
If this 6a only lasts for 2 years, I reckon I get £4-worth of value out of it per week. -

Nice one. Looks really good for the price.

Thanks.. My usage is even less glamorous than yours. I'll order one tomorrow.

I've got a Tab A8 and have not had a single issue with it, seems as good as my wife's ipad.

I Have at Tab S3 SM-t825 and it works faultlessly. Makes people look twice when you make a call from it. Fits in a coat pocket, carry it most places.

Cool. Sounds like the only people bleating on about Android not being a very good tablet platform are likely iOS fanboys, then.

Before I do a sales thread, anyone interested in a Google Pixel LTE watch?
Matte black, new/boxed. £260?
Problem is that that doesn't allow for pages that scroll/concertina.
