Do your friends and family know about your ceiling camera?

Is there anything wrong with this?
-Massive bath (1800-1900mm)
-Back slope and consequently face of bather is away from the toilet
-Shower over the middle (con: may necessitate shower curtain/allows for low-investment bathroom design levity. pro: no need to clean shower screen)
-Deep end towards window - gap will be boxed in and tiled; can have wall-mounted taps, a 'shelf' and somewhere for the spiders to live
-Box can extend to cover fittings for wall-hung toilet
-Room for big sink/vanity
-Avoid the sin of door opening onto toilet
-Easier/cheaper to fit as nothing much is being moved around

Er, it's in the wrong thread?
Extendy box thing is a good idea but wont the bath be a lot lower than the sink unit and where you would have the flush? And so what level would you put it at?

whoops. Thanks!!

Mea culpa. I'll shift myself over. Tbh I am giving up. I'll just place a couple of empty tins under the toilet and bath leaks and have done with it.
(The box would be higher than the bath to line up with the window, so actually would be the perfect height all the way across. Eta: The flush! I hadn't thought about the flush.)

credit karma
Use a disposable email address for them, they send lots of unstoppable “service emails” pushing their mobile clients etc.

Ooh - another thing we did to save space was to put the cistern high up on the wall with a pull chain (it's one of those those old fashioned ones).
Then the builder chased the pipe between the two into the wall. It lets you put the toilet right back against the wall, saving a worthwhile bit of floor space. -

I've got a standard Victorian terrace. I'd like to be able to use the side return in the winter for drying clothes, doing stuff on my bike, DIY, etc. without being rained on (and possibly shelter from the sun in the summer).
I don't want anything permanent but was pondering getting a retractable awning to go out from the side wall to cover most of the side passage. Anyone any thoughts on whether this would look shit, is a great idea, there is a better idea I've missed, etc
Prices for this kind of thing seem to vary wildly so would also be interested if anyone had any recommendations, cheers

Multiwall polycarb? Or too perm?
-
• #54911
Perhaps just some sun sail style awnings over the side return would be enough, and they look quite nice if done well, and mega cheap

We just had our boiler moved and the pipework looks insane. ;____;
Why are all tradesmen so crap?

This needs photos

They do look nice, but they can fill up with water - at least ours does. They're also a bit of a pain to put up and down - I'd go for the retractable awning in preference if you're looking for something lightweight

we're selling a leasehold flat that has a management company. The buyer is insisting we pay the service charge for the remainder of the year, we normally pay it over 10 months of the year. That feels really odd, why would we pay for 3 months of service charge for after we've sold the place?

This is the practical but ugly route I want to avoid. Loads seem to take this route and it works well but it doesn't look nice and it is ugly.
@jameo I like that idea but I'm really thinking about something that can go up and down in a minute and is easily stored which I don't think a sun sail would do (although happy to be corrected there).

Did the pipes have to sprawl across the whole wall? I know, I know, you can't constrain art - but I was hoping to stick a washing machine in there.

Majorly concerned by this:
I know it's just the overflow, but wtf...

WHUT. Is that 'clearly too big pipe' filled with silicone to close the gap?
Can't comment on the other bits but I would be ensuring the above gets fixed, thats very poor work even by my standards.

• #54920
Fuck me - that's a bodge and a half!

• #54921
What's with that 3 foot gap for the lowest pipe?
-
• #54922
What the actual f - that's actually mental haha
-
• #54923
Urgh. WHY. Why is it just impossible to get someone who does things with a modicum of care.
-
• #54924
that's poor work, but ask him why he did that.
There are new regulations with the material one is able to use for overflow. the water is very acidic and goes through copper after a while. so they introduced flexible plastic, which are or were in short supply, something like that. He should be able to explain, and if he doesn't, that should be looked at by someone else. -

I had overpaid as we had to pay 6 months at a time, and got the pro rata cash back from our buyers Solicitor.
Literally how is it your responsibility after you've moved.
