The ones that bother me are "I could care less" for "I couldn't care less" and "me either" for "nor me" or maybe "me neither"

Pluperfect subjunctive, no? The meaning is pretty clear though, so does it matter if it doesn't fit with anachronistic strict grammar.

I don't know but I don't like it. I'm not a grammar nerd but it's like you're talking about your possible future state from the point of view of the past, rather than an alternate/conditional version of the past. Or something.

Instinctively this feels really wrong but I think it comes from Americans using 'like' a lot in phrases, so I think of it as them saying 'like I could care less'. I could be wrong, but it's the only way it makes sense to me.

My police force still has some suitable people making decisions in the "Firearms Cardray". That always irritated me.

Maybe they think the pronunciation is the same as in padre?
