It's good to vent once in a while. I don't speak French well enough to catch everything they are saying but the French commentators are very lively, very French (Jacky Durand is could have auditioned for 'Allo 'Allo) and they don't have any worries about correct pronunciation of foreign names.

Anyone else think it was a bit mad yesterday when the peloton were heading down the highway and there was no separation between riders and spectators? Occasionally a row of sparsely spaced cones but little else.

Top fail from the chasing group to catch Soler there.

They needed to catch him before the final kilometre, otherwise any effort to close the gap would ruin the chance of a decent result for the rider closing it.

Yeah - it was when the 2 chase groups came together that they lost all cohesiveness. Always amusing to see though.
