This. Pastel de nata are proof some sort of divine being exists.

These are the one exception, actually - I also like the cheese ones (not sure if they're a mainland variation) but only if they've been chilled first, and they're usually served warm.

They are ghastly, synthetic and almost as bad as fucking penguin biscuits. But still a guilty pleasure.

Hang on a minute, let's lay off the penguin

I actually prefer the kinda boring "normal" egg custard tarts.
I think it's the pastry. If we could put the Portuguese gloop into the (British?) bases that would be an interesting combo to try.

Nah the clever Portuguese nuns specked flexible pastry so you can shove an entire one into your mouth without getting egg goop all over your lap. The shortcrust ones just mean crumbs and egg goop everywhere. Unless you have a Pythonesque jaw

I have a fucked jaw at the moment, so let's add "wisdom teeth" to the I hate pile.
For the record the shortcrust ones are pretty easy to jam in whole. Or is it jam in hole?

The whole complete lockjaw and constant agony thing or have you had them out and now have a raw bloody socket?
I’ll have to bow to your superior willpower in terms of custard tarts, but I’m not ruling out you being part basking shark.

Had them all out on Monday. They might be infected - they should've settled down by now but the pain seems to be getting worse. Had to cancel the 200 I had planned for tomorrow in Wales. Little bastards.

The only good thing about Penguin is the joke on the packet. The contents of the packet should be binned immediately.

• #20315
You got me there. But Penguins are still shite.

Knowing that customers don't always want to be bothered.
Knowing that I am essentially a salesman.
Knowing that my boss is gonna send me over.
Knowing that they won't buy fuck all anyway cos our taps are 300 quid and I don't know anything about
Knowing they will approach me with any queries!!!!"Hey there, are yo..."
"Yes, thank you!"
"...OK"18 months to go.
Edit; spellchecker fascism.

Yep. The brown stuff bears more resemblance to shite than it does chocolate, that’s for sure.
And you can add Kit-Kat to the list too. -

I don’t hate, but I’m finding myself becoming less tolerant of cranks and double-busy junkies.
Was always a charming feature of living quite centrally in London, but now I have absolutely no time for it.
I’m aware this makes me a bad person and I’m trying to let it go!

Have we had the twats that remove the baffles from their exhausts yet?

'Limelight' in case you were interested.

Oh, love those. They used to be made here in my town, but we can still get them frozen made in TO.

double-busy junkies
What does this mean?
-
• #20324
Glad you asked. I googled it but nothing came up.

I thought they hated cranks and particularly doubles - but singles and triples were ok.
Wot? Not even the Portuguese egg tarts they make in Macao?
