Last week did happen
well, @jdmitch and myself met once again at Harefields' Coy Carp for a Colne-side pint.
Extraordinarily, this meant I had cycled west to two consecutive Wests for the first time.
The return was negatively eventful, as jdm's bike threw his (fixed) chain,
and we scooted/walked the last 3+ miles back to Ruislip Met station.

Hopefully less mechanical trauma this week.

Out due to a work function

I am keen if I can make it, but would likely be on the late side (9ish?) and currently all my bikes are either broken or on extended leave with no anticipated return date (aka stolen!)
What is the deal with the £20 advance tickets on the site - seems a bit steep, or is that the multi-day? Are they cheaper on the door?

On the festival out west theme, we're having a sort of festival in our large shared garden on Saturday, with live music and performances plus some of my Homebrew 😜 (not as good as @skydancer's but @Oliver Schick can attest that it won't make you go blind). All are welcome and it should be quite child-friendly!

Had a meeting in Central London today, apologies for late answer.
The last/previous time I attended the EBF, it was £20 entry.
You received an engraved commemorative pint glass and X beer tokens.
Some beers were a single token for a pint, others for a half/third etc.
£20 upfront seems a lot, but I think few of the West venues this year would give a round of 4 pints for £20.
Cost of living, (well drinking) crisis.

Includes €10 of beer. I paid 30 quid for multi day ticket coz I'm here every day

It would have passed me by.

A much better, and more welcoming set up than the last time Wests met at the EBF,
maybe 3 or 4 years ago. No idea how crowded it will get, but if you are local do pop in.

Yes it was a bit of a poser trying to recognise someone I haven't seen since a Wests Birthday event, probably November 2019.
