Thanks for that. Saves around 2.1kgs from the normal one if I'm reading the specs right. Not sure that would tip the balance for me as I'm often riding it with 20kgs of luggage.

All this chat is sort of making me glad i just got a c line sturmey 3 speed. From a design perspective maybe it’s possible that that is the sweet spot between function and performance for the original design concept Suck up the weight - get stronger arms and legs 😜

I nearly did and you've got a point. I was using it to replace a motorbike and didn't want to have to cycle as hard in work clothes carrying work tools, I've done a bit of that in the past.
In that way it's been successful. I've cut down the motorbike use and got fitter/lost weight to the point where I might get away with a 3 speed.

I was thinking the same about my 6 speed C-line. I don’t find it a heavy bike at all, either to ride or carry. The only thing that bugs me is that moving between my most favoured gears needs a double shift.

I see that new P-line electric seems to have a new suspension block arrangement, as far as I can see from the one photo I can view.

yes, there is something about the classic 3 speed you cant go wrong with!

The electric is very nice to ride though. It's not necessary but it's nice to get away from lights easily and maintain a decent speed in some of the less pedestrian places. Climbing the odd hill or crossing a bridge into a headwind is a lot less challenging.

The electric assist seems to make up for the small wheel compromise which gets you a folding bike and I wanted folding for take it with you security.

I've always avoided a phone mounted on handlebar situation but I'm spending a week cycling around Exeter and no longer own a wahoo. I was wondering if anyone knew of a cheap phone mounting solution for the mid riser bar? Nothing fancy, sturdy preferred.

The amount of errors on that p line electric page is amazing.
They had the prices wrong, the weight wrong, the gearing wrong.
Seems like they're picking up on these mistakes as some have been fixed

Any Bromptons for sale? Projects welcome.

I’m sorry but how does Brompton justify the additional £800 for the p-line where it is only 600 grams less than a C-line.

Equally you can have a 2 speed C line Brompton electric and that is 14.6kg which seems more reasonable.

Serious are they one crack?

I've got a Gub phone holder on my e bike; the basic one's about £8.95.

Cheap one on Amazon called gub. Works well for us and noticed a pedal me had one

What do you need to spend to drop 600 g from a c line ? Even possible ?

Easy.
Ti fork and triangle - pricey tho; £900 or so
Seatpost / pentaclip for a Ti one
Bb to Ti
Loose the 3 speed igh and use an external one
Make sure on Conti tyres or Schwalbe one
Aluminium headset
Removable pedals
Superlight front wheel

Probably 1-2kg

250-600£ depends what your priorities are!
