I'm interpreting that as a pitch for Thursday.
I would be 'In' for that. -
• #27053
That would work for me for Wednesday.
Also option of Central Line trains back into town from West Ruislip. -
• #27054
And me makes 3. We could then, possibly, do tramp beers at Wormwood Scrubs on Thursday
-
• #27055
About 19.30 at Chorleywood station?
-
• #27056
Thursday Night: tramp beers Wormwood Scrubs with @skydancer & @moorhen.
What time?
Is the chip shop at the pararde to the north of the A40 still in business? -
• #27057
Drop me a line via PM or Signal about riding out?
-
• #27059
That sounds good, unless you want to just meet at the land of Liberty? - will message on Whatsapp if I'm running late...
-
• #27060
I may be able to make Thursday as well - especially if you are offering pints of your homegrown hops - just about to brew a beer, so that could be very timely!
-
• #27061
I'll see what I can do...
-
• #27062
I'm awaiting a reply from @NorthLondonLight to find what route he is using to ride out.
We can always share locations this evening. -
• #27063
A (supplementary) Wests on a Wednesday.
@NorthLondonLight and myself met up with @jdmitch
at the Land of Liberty, Peace and Plenty in Heronsgate.We then dropped down the hill, under the M25 and had a second drink at the riverside Coy Carp in Harefield. We retraced our route back to the precursor to the A412, and saw the abutments already installed for the HS2 Colne Valley viaduct. Onwards to Denham, up Moorhall Road to Harvill Road, over the Chiltern Line and more HS2-ery then Ickenham and just missed the chippy at West Ruislip.
A fine evening. -

Tonight: Tramp beers* on Wormwood Scrubs
@Sifta @NorthLondonLight @jdmitch
@skydancer @moorhenA few years ago, (pre-Covid), we met along Braybrook Street.
Time: 18.30-19.00-ish?[* Generic term to include wine, canned pre-mixed shorts, cocktails etc].

Nice one
Same place as last time? -
• #27066
I'll he there.
Pm about meeting at Pint of Hops to collect essentials or at chippy near East Acton Station?
-
• #27067
A fine evening indeed. After beers it became, most definitely, The HS2 Sightseer Ride. Not scenic but incredibly interesting to see the massive works the project entails.
-
• #27068
Will do.
Suggest meet at Pinot of Hops, then a gentle roll to the A40 at the junction leading to the Chippy and the western edge of WWood Scrubs. -
• #27069
The HS2 Sightseer Ride
There's another opportunity to see HS2 work net to little wormwood scrubs
-
• #27070
Just realised I've inadvertantly invoked Thibaut Pinot upthread.
-
• #27071
That worked well.
A lively, informative conversation as dusk fell over the broad horizon of Wormwood Scrubs,
(with just a hint of HS2 in the distance). -
• #27074
Very droll.
This week?
-
• #27075
A better 'This week':
@ffm @hamrack @hippy @Sifta
@skydancer @moorhen
@NorthLondonLight @Regal @Alex_Ch
@seager @jdmitch
@SwissChap @morgasm
@thebrenthamtaffy @ChewyCheeks
@fasih @timages
@goosenoose @ChainBreakerGood to meet up and speak with @moorhen & @skydancer last week,
along with an instant repeat with @jdmitch & @NorthLondonLight
Can confirm Savoy Circus chippy fully up & running.
not actually proposing this route, per se, but these are the waypoints I was suggesting - this is only 10 miles so could be extended if there's appetite:
