  • Knee-level oven in your 40k kitchen 🤦🏻‍♀️

  • Big fan of this

  • Looks like a render 🥹

  • Norm right? spendy.
    e: too slow!

  • Amazing - didn’t mean that as a criticism - stupidly perfect

  • I didn't read as a crit - just shared for interest!

  • Exactly what I thought. But maybe there's a second kitchen somewhere for the cook, and this is only used to heat frozen lasagna?

Also that uber minimalist Muller Van Severen chair in the norm house costs 2500€.
Yes, I had want. But there is a limit to what I am ready to pay for a few (badly) welded pieces of steel.

  • If you want some badly-welded MVS, buy the trivets! That way you can feel like you're taking part, but you've only spent three figures not four.

    (I did this, no regrets).

  • Are they actually badly welded?

  • Badly probably a bit harsh. But the only close up looked less than perfect.
Also don't see how you can change the leather seat once it's gone.

@6pt mmh. I won't show those to my wife!

Thing is, we live with a shit 90s Ikea kitchen "installed" by an idiot.
It's the trade off for being in the best part of Berlin.
But there is a limit how much contrast between our nice stuff and the kitchen I can take...

  • We moved from nice house nice things to awful 90s remodel awful house (again, trade-off) and it’s taken the shine off so many objects I used to enjoy. I was hoping they’d lift the place up but the place just brings them down. Don’t even know where the trivets are 😔

  • Just bulldoze the fucker

  • I really like these plywood kitchens (like https://www.uncommonprojects.co.uk/) but of course we would never want to spend so much money, I thought like well, that's just some plywood, a router, glue, and that's it!

Now I am at day ~10, streched over some weekends, and can start working on the drawers, and tonight I'll put the oven in.

Of course many design / measurement errors, which I had to fix 'live', and if I would do this part of the kitchen again, I would A) divide these high side panel parts into smaller ones and stack them (doing all that on the floor is not fun and very heavy) B) make the base different C) buy FIRST all small parts like fittings and measure them, and lots of other things too.

Super glue and tape is perfect for fixing things like router templates, awesome. I could basically build a whole house with super glue and tape!

I'll spam here some pictures, maybe someone thinks then well, that's also for me, let's do a kitchen.

  • Part III and last one: there is also a showcase, and sanding the sides of the plywood takes time; waiting for the varnish to dry.

  • It's an aesthetic choice I guess; makes it less "kitchen-y" as low ovens are visually recessive.

And it's a Bora hob in a Bulthaup kitchen so I reckon it's north of 90k.

  • They are more expensive than wren but we didn't find the prices to be extreme. Our plywood paradise is currently being built and should be with us before August.
House is filling with appliance boxes in the meantime.

  • oh my

    very much so

  • Especially they all work with CNC routers, which saves lots of expensive time I guess. Did you go colorful?

  • Conservation area/desperately poor. Still confused why the area was extended to include our house after the previous owners ruined it.

  • I wanted to but was overruled. We went for a greeny grey. I'll find the reference code once the kids are in bed.

  • area was extended to include our house

    Wut? How does that work
