Thai sweet curry last night and night before. Got the ratio better last night so wasn’t as watery. Pretty tasty, good textures and stuff.
Sweet and sour tonight. Seems quite a different consistency but maybe I’ve just fucked up the ratio again.

What do we reckon for hot huel for camping? I'm imagining a hefty portion of mac n cheese would set me right up
-

Seems a good idea, lightweight, it's kinda like a bigger more healthy pot noodle isn't it.

Going on huel hot. What are the ones to avoid?

Oh! Fuck, stay away from Tomato (and Herb?) Absolutely abysmal. Mexican Chilli is OK, and Madras. Wasn't massive on Sweet and Sour. I stopped buying it anyway. Seeing as their core business was built upon a 100% nutrition diet from a drink, it seems odd they now do macaroni and all the other stuff

My preferred are TGC, Korma and Mac. Tomato is so bland, sweet and sour was just sweet and sticky, madras and chilli ok but the spice is a bit one dimensional, just heat without much flavour so gets pretty dull quickly.
Mac and Cheese is my favorite but feels a bit like a junk food option compared to TGC which has lots of seeds and good stuff. Might just be my perception though.

Just ordered the intro bundle - seems like a good deal. Constantly on the road and in hotels so time to try it again…what’s the black edition salted caramel like?
-
• #913
It’s okay, but it’s not amazing. Better than the chocolate. Not as good as the vanilla.

Just received the intro bundle as well, after trying to get on with Huel a few years ago. It's taken me an hour or so to get over the trauma of the mac and cheese just to be able to write this. I'm dreading getting through that massive bag of the stuff.

I went with the black edition high protein shakes for mad gainz in the end. Definitely makes lunch easier and more healthy. I am a convert.

I've been using the black edition recently. Love the stuff. I put some matcha powder in my morning shake for a bit of caffeine too.

Mac and cheese review. Better than I thought - needs pepper / hot sauce to mask the slightly weird taste but would definitely have it again.

Day two. Still into it. Salted caramel black edition was also great.

Raspberry cereal bar - one of the worst things I have ever eaten

So I am thinking about starting to use Huel...
I work from home and am really bad at eating when it is just me, so will basically pick all day and not eat a proper healthy lunch, do regular users think Huel would be a sensible approach to help stop this?
I was thinking about using powder for breakfast and one of the hot & savoury for lunch, and then maybe allowing myself one of the snack bars a day too, and then allowing myself fruit to snack too.
If this sounds like a sensible amount, anyone got any that I should really avoid, I don't like peanuts so that rules some out...

Just don't get the coffee or chocolate powders. They taste like puke. Although some freaks like them
-
• #922
Ha, Coffee would have been one of my go to, as I love everything else coffee flavoured. Its a shame they don't do a way of testing flavours without buying the full bag.
Has anyone used the ready to drink and the powder? do they taste the same? wondering about ordering one of each ready to drink to work out which flavour I like best.

I'm also real lazy left home alone to cook... I've settled on being a little less lazy and making simple meals (peanut butter on toast, quick cook pasta, etc.) and using a nutribullet for combinations of fruit & veg smoothies with protein powder or veg powder, oats if hungry, etc.
Can't speak for the hot HUEL but did not get on with the powder. Prefer a decent smoothie.

I think I might be even lazier than you! I think the other thing I struggle with on my own is portion control, ill grab some cheese and biscuits for lunch which isn't horrendous really, but will grab a block of cheese and a pack of biscuits and just munch my way through them without even thinking!

I love coffee, it doesn't taste like coffee.
I've enjoyed berry, banana and vanilla. Tried caramel, coffee and chocolate also but they were pretty rank. I think I even threw out the coffee one as I couldn't finish it.
The ready to drinks are sort of the same flavour but a bit nicer
The Tomato and Herb is foul. Unless you enjoy picking out un rehydrated green beans out of your teeth for hours
