  • Deda RHM01 are often available for around 20€ / pounds, have up to 46cm width and zero flare.

  • Why post the same video five times?

  • Can any Equilibrium Rim Brake owners measure there rear drop-outs for me please?

The catalogue says 135mm for rear "Hub Size/Spacing" but I'm wondering if it's more of a 132.5mm situation...

  • 130mm for rim brake Equilibrium.

  • Yeah thats what I've measured on mine, but the catalogue says 135mm.
It's the 2021 dark green frameset.

I've been running my mates 130 hub on the rear for about 9 months which slotted in nicely at the time, so I didn't give much thought to what the actual measurements where.

Only now that I'm speccing some new wheels have I found the discrepancy,
and I'm wondering if I may have pinched the frame in to fit the 130 wheels. I feel like I would have noticed the 130-135 difference, hence thinking that it's a 132.5 which could go either way on the hub spec.

End goal is to figure if I should stick with a 130 hub, or go 135.

    Thrilling, right?

  • Definitely 130mm on the rim brake, disc was 135mm.

  • That page also says they use Shimano R7000 hubs, the rear of which is 130mm.
Edit: which also appears to be an error, they're specced with KT hubs, which as it happens are also 130mm.
So, conclusion: run a 130mm rear hub, it's what fits, it's what you've measured, and it's what the full bike comes with.

  • Thanks, that's what I'm leaning towards as it means I'll also be able to swap wheels between bikes.
Even if I have pinched the dropouts they seem fine.

Funny that they would spec 135 on the catalogue though.

Anyone else fancy chipping in with a measurement?

  • I'm guessing it's just a proof/publishing error.
You won't have pinched the dropouts, you'd have to bring them in a lot more than 5mm to get them to stay there.

  • My volare 931 got a dura ace 9100 upgrade last week. Carbon hunts will come out for summer soon!

  • Looking to buy a Genesis CdF 20 or 30 in M. Found a few UK based bike shops online that has it but they won't ship outside the UK - I'm in Switzerland. Anyone know of any shops that do?

  • l'Échappée Belle in Paris

  • I don't know about availability, but Polish bikepackers.com.pl is selling Genesis bikes and I think they will ship to Switzerland.

  • Chain engagement fail

  • Special low friction chain

  • My vagabond.
It’s very very obvious that I just want to be like @scottparsley

  • the latest one is £2k+ with cable discs !

  • Wow. I didn’t know they got that expensive.
I think I have around £6-700 invested in it, but it’s been a slow build while looking for deals and build wheels :)

  • That's nice! I always fancied one of those but don't really have much use for one (not doing this right am I)

  • Nice! Still using mine pretty much every day, commuting and hauling kids mainly. Great for touring too, will take it out for a weekend end of april.

  • What rack are you running there?

  • Looks like a simworks obento

  • Yep @alan_tbt picked up from here. I'd have got a nitto one if I was buying new as cheaper and can have more weight according to the spec

  • Which nitto carries more weight? M18 is pretty low as I recall
