Just bought my first Brompton, excited to collect!
Will need to change the seat post to accommodate my unnecessarily long legs, assume Brompton's telescopic offering is the way to go or are there alternatives out there?

Unless you wanna go £400 on a Ti parts tele, yes Brompton one is best.
Jk one is not as good.

Indicator chain on my BWR pulled itself out about 5mm. New chain time, or has anyone experienced this and found the threads in their hub to be stripped?
The chain has screwed back in Ok and seems to be holding fast. For now.

Explain more? Where has it pulled out from?

Amazing!
Clearly that front brake inner has been left 60ft long just to annoy me

Pulled itself out of the hub. I always screw it right in then back it out a turn before attaching the cable. It pulled (or slipped) out 5mm or so, as that’s what I was able to screw it back in once on the train home.

That is very odd!
I’d fit a new chain, I’d also fit a new key, it’s not a big job to do so, I’ll obviously offer my services but I’m in Somerset

Ah, yes. Now I remember that part, I stripped the hub down a bit before lockdown as I was suffering from slipping gears. Thanks for the reminder. Will order both and sit down with a cup of coffee one day.

Is there a decent guide, video or text, to how to adjust the 2-speed derailleur on a Brompton? Mine is currently an accidental singlespeed and I’d like to get it back to having a choice of gears without paying for it.

Stuck in 12/13 or 16?
-
• #11045
16, so spinning like a loon. 😁

Just blast it with WD40, it gets crudded up.
-
• #11047
Normal, probably gunked up.
Remove the back wheel, pull the chain forward, blast it with GT85 and wipe off the excess.

Took @50crates advice and fitted the guards.
Also swapped the cracks to hollowtechs as my bodge of spacing the bb over while I waited on a longer one didn’t work and it came loose.
