What kind of price range would a cheap build be?

I can build to most budgets, probably looking at a full bike not a custom build.

Just depends on what spec you fancy and budget

Yo - I need ! - fed up of trawling evilbay - I have a kuosac flat bar and grips in hand - possibly a chainset that might work - single speed would be fine if cheapest. Is sub 700 feasible or am I a joker ?

Sub 700 is doable, I’ll likely have something when another deal goes through for 400-600 but it would be a swb!

Been watching a lot of brom content of late - would love to work there - probs too late to switch careers - ho hum

I knew a guy who worked there as a brazer a few years ago, at the Kew factory. He said it was pretty tedious once you got the hang of it, and they kept moving you around to different pieces so it wouldn’t get too boring. A lot of the guys were east Europeans who ultimately moved on to other things once their brazing skills had been finely honed. I think 7 years there would do my head in.

Are Brompton front hubs serviceable? My one has developed a lot of play.

Boss at sjs managed to source replacement axle / cones, but you may be left with pitted cups.

And the axle is wider than oe

I tend to go with an upgrade to sealed cartridge bearing hub, I do have a spare hub brand new if you fancy a wheel build

have you got any experience with widening a rear hub to take a nexus 8 @sbbohr ? is it a stupid idea?
