£850 is good. The t bag is £115 and the best bag they made really!

Always used UPS fully tracked & insured myself.
Depending on value looking from £25 using Brompton box to pack it. -

Aftermarket chain tensioners: is there one that stands out?
-

First thing to know is none are as good as stock

Brompfication make the neatest if you don't have an IGH.

To be honest it's the jockey wheels I'd like most to replace, they're a pain to clean, and the teeth are rather worn. I do find the whole unit really cheap looking though.

I'm probably going to waste money on silly brakes and frame braze-ons, I can't spend that much on the rest...
-

I understand, tbh it’s the idler wheels being plastic than make them work so well.
Metal ones = loud and wear quick, as does your chain.
Get 2 tensioners, swap them ever few weeks and dump then dirty one in a cleaner

I use ProLink lube, very fluid, don't apply too much or it'll end up on your braking surface when you pedal. Dont gunk up FTW!
-
• #11013
I used Prolink for a long time, but I have discovered Squirt since (not that the Brompton is the one that gets it, maybe it should).
-
• #11014
ProLink only for me, especially Bromptons, thank me later!

Big shout out to @sbbohr for getting my seatpost insert sorted.
Not 100% decided about whether or not to run guards but super stoked to have the bike back and get it built today.
Coaster brake is definitely a marmite thing...we will see how long it stays. Sure makes for a simple set up though.

Pleasure! Looks so good.
Now the we have decided to replan our storage and stuff I’m going to have a bigger better workshop only 12 seconds from the kettle!

Thanks all.
Anyone fancy these Silverock brakes?
I only used one caliper and didn’t think it worked very well but I did notice when I was changing over to the brommy caliper I bought from Ryan that I’d had the pads upside down.
£50 posted.

@sbbohr do you have any singlespeed wheels? I've been living under a rock and didn't realise Brompton had discontinued the ss version.
I've got a 3 speed hub that needs to be built onto a new rim but I'm tempted to try and make the bike lighter.
How much of a faff is it to change the bike to 2 speed?

Cheers - good to know. How much is the kit?
Looking to do fix the bike up on budget - it's been off the road for year now but keeps being put down the priority list...

Sorry to say that bike thieves are taking Bromptons at knifepoint. CyclingMikey was robbed yesterday https://twitter.com/MikeyCycling/status/1501997495932567558

Be mindful of insurance as its very expensive to buy with all couriers if insuring to value.
