Anyone have any storage solutions for Brompton beyond the IKEA Kallax? Looking for something a bit slimmer line.
-
• #10980
how can it be slimmer? physically or aesthetically?
-
• #10981
Closer to the wall, the Kallax is deeper than a single bike

Kallax + You can pick up a mains circular saw for as little as £30.00 = Slimmer solution.

Probably worth posting in this thread too:

Good luck with the venture!

• #10984
That may well be the only option.

Don't do it! It’ll make a mess!!
The Kallax is mainly hollow filled with corrugated paper for lightness and strength.
I've cut down a larger shelving unit previously in height but wouldn't trying to make it slimmer. -

Thanks!

I made the mistake of buying a plywood table top from Ikea, and then using a jigsaw to cut a semi-circle out of it to make it into a jeweller's workbench.
It wasn't until I got to the end of the cut that it became apparent that it was hollow and internally had an egg box-like construction.
I was not pleased, and did eventually get Ikea to give me my money back on the basis that nowhere did it say that it wasn't solid plywood. -

Anyone selling the front light mount for a cateye light? Or is it better to modify a dynamo light mount as some of the internet folks says.
-
• #10992
You can try to reshape a dynamo bracket so it clears the FCB.
I prefer this bracket from BikeGang.

Sick paint is sick. Like a much more colourful version of our newly discovered under (up to 11 layers of) wallpaper 1880's rag rolled walls.

I think I need a brompton - I don't need pristine and can do standard fixes / upgrades - 3 speed would be fine - what is minimum spend do we think ? - Is this one decent deal ? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/304333255903?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649
