I see somebody else has been following Leo's progress! I'd guess it's classic dross - a combo of (low density) oxides and lower-density-than-lead impurities.

@Sifta lured me down this rabbithole as the starter before the Super Bowl.

Pretty much anything then! Certainly entertaining to see iron bolts floating in the melting pot.

Yep, Lead is in the sweet spot of high density, but low melting point.
Consider Tungsten, it cocks a snook at Lead's puny density of 11.35 with a mighty 19.35,
but melts at 3410C compared to Lead's 327C.
