I knew that last clue would give it away but if yours is where i think it is its less of a detour on my commute so I'll scope it out tomorrow.

Station Road (which is thankfully mostly off-road) that runs between Preston Park Station and Withdean Road (crossing a bridge over the railway line to get to Withdean Road and the Withdean woodland area). Had to get the nobbles out for this one.

I believe the building / private road / compound houses the local BT Exchange (accessed from the Preston Road).

New tag - I enjoy getting a quick glance at this view almost every day, as I pass by on the bike.

Clues: we’re facing west, and if you’re lucky you can often see the main line train heading in or out of Brighton.

I know the view, I just can't find the viewpoint.

Logic, and a 2D street map, will work a lot better than a first-person street view.

Logic? Internet forums are no place for logic and reason.

I went old-school and cycled around where I thought it was but couldn’t find the exact spot.

I totally applaud the effort!

Sproglette sleeps like a log in the cargobike so playing bike tag or laps around the veldrome is a nice way to spend her naps.

How nice! I remember having to do the same sort of thing with my boys years ago.... walking round and around the local park endlessly, pushing the buggy, just to get them to sleep.

One day I'll run into you and the Squashlette on your blue cargo bike. I've asked a few people with similar bikes "are you Squash?" but the answer has always been no.
