Just did a little snorkeling trip. Guy next to me on the boat was wearing Rolex Sea Dweller. Russian.

I feel like this is so close to being really good but something about the sizing is just… off. I think the bracelet just looks too small for it.

Too much tapered?

Exactly

The SeaDweller is overkill in every way, so reliable and so good..
Recently giving a lot a wrist time to the controversial SD43..

An insane Tudor 7928 Square Crown Guard, tropical and, Marine Nationale (nothing less)
A cool Bianchi JB200 Marine Nationale, quartz
And a warm 79090 that might be for sale soon..

Seems like pretty good value, with sapphire glass and a seiko sweepey quartz movement?
Anyone know anything about them? There’s not a huge amount of info about the company knocking around. Far from an original design obvs, but I like simplicity.

I’d probably be looking at a steel dive at that price. That dial, to me, just looks so baron and empty.

I think that’s what I liked about it. Or at least, I like trust it’s understated (as long as it’s actually a decent, well made watch, which I wouldn’t know) Would rather have no branding than steeldives awful logo, certainly :-)

I asked the same question and was quite rightly told no.
Best to go something like San Martin (a massive step up from Steel dive), or Steinhart.
Or look at Unimatic.

I did see your question about these, but didn’t really see any answers. Did you find out much about them?
I actually just ordered one of the ones I linked to, just to see what it’s like. I just want a cheap, simple quartz diver. If it’s shit I’ll send it back and just get an eco drive I guess.

Pictures look like from a “Lost & Found” section :-)
Sweet looking watches! -

Yeah they’re just about in my very modest price range - all the un-garish colours are out of stock, sadly.

This turned out to be a deal for you.

I'd probably just get a Parnis diver off ebay from China for <£100. Can easily find them with a sterile dial, sapphire glass, miyota hacking movement etc.

That's lovely. What size wrist do you have?
-
• #59569
@PawG I would love to find one of these
@MementoMori something like 17,5cm.. it’s a bit chunky but that’s part of it

See who sells one of these first...

It's so bad. It looks like a Bamford. Maybe that's the intention.

Reminds me of the turquoise Oyster https://www.rolex.com/watches/oyster-perpetual/m124300-0006.html

Omega are far better than that - they'd never produce this kind of system font shitshow. Writing "Tiffany & Co" in Times New Roman, leaving the period off "Co." and using a hyphen for a dash - they're clearly still employing the person who thought Arial was an appropriate choice for the word "Tourbillon".
Quite like this
