Whoh, 12 string Jnr is amazing! Never seen on before. Also had half an eye out for one. Just been trawling FB marketplace for something funky and cheap.

Weirdly I'm playing a gig tomorrow - a mate convicned me to bang the skins for him so I'll be on with Leevil as a Diller Killer at the Black Heart tomorrow:

It's a homemade botched together one a chap is selling but it looks awesome! He's listed it on eBay and if I don't win it I'm thinking about getting one of the Chibson manufacturers that makes EDS-1275s to make me a 12-string SG with P90s in TV Yellow... it will absolutely not have a Gibson logo on the headstock and Gibson are such a shower of pricks these days that I don't feel at all guilty.
Here's the eBay link if anyone else wants to go for it, I won't be too upset if I don't win :)

I saw Gruff Rhys at a little theatre in Canterbury last night. It was fucking amazing. Band was incredible and the sound was the best I’ve ever experienced. Still buzzing. The drummer was Cliph Scurlock ex of flaming lips. He was booted out after called Wayne Coyne on being a dick. Apparently he now lives in Cardiff and plays with loads of welsh bands. He was phenomenal.

Gruff was his usual shambling handsome charismatic genial genius self. Loads of 335 e-bow action too.

@Fatberg It's a bit out of the way but a guy I know in Dolgellau has a nice 12 string tele up for grabs - cheap!

Advice please, I'm expecting the new pups for my baritone Jazzmaster to turn up any day...
Will I need a new bridge/string retention setup? Or will a set of baritone strings be fine on what I have? It's hard to tell but it looks like I've got quite a bit of space to play around with there....

What clearances are you concerned about? I’m building a baritone for a friend at the moment and wasn’t anticipating any problems with a standard Mustang bridge, so I’d be interested to know.

I think the bridge will be fine was more worried about getting a set of baritone strings through the tailpiece (and the posts on the tuners!)...
I'll have to get the nut recut, obvs... Just trying to troubleshoot before I take it in to get built up...

Not baritone strings but I used 13-56s on my Japan Jag and it absolutely loved it with quite a bit of space left over in the tailpiece holes.

That looks like fun.

Jazzmasters were originally designed for really heavy strings, so the standard set up should be ideal already

Thanks, folks, one less thing to worry about it always good... 🙃

Anyone need a couple of Hercules slat wall hangers? Got two spare and a bit of wood to fit them to. They’re good if you need to fit them in a small space as you can get your guitars nearer to one another than a normal wall hanger. £20 for the pair and can post

Love the Bandcamp ad:
"Your friends have to listen to half of one of your songs somewhere..."

That's great! I love that he does the whole Bukovac "blues over major" thing in one minute in his Kid Rock video.

So I've had this Telecaster for years and years... It's a Squier Master Series Thinline HH.
As an uncouth youth I did a bad job of spraying a Goldtop finish on it and I've just removed it with a bit of thinners and some elbow grease.
I also loaned it to a friend for a while and it suffered a few bangs and knocks during that time which have left it with a few chips and dings around the back and sides...Would I be absolutely bonkers to get the incredible man in Wales who refinished my PRS to refinish it or should I just leave it be?
On one hand how many set neck, thinline Telecasters are there out there but on the other hand it is a lowly Squier and the refinish is going to cost a fair chunk of the value of the guitar...
Thoughts?

That's well nice. Personally I'd leave it as it...

Wondering what to do with the aforementioned chips and bangs though... the fettler in me is struggling to leave well enough alone.
I don't entirely hate the idea of it being a bit of a beater though I guess...

slap on some custom decals and smash in a pair of proper dirty humbuckers.
Hyde Park aye! He was really sweet and relaxed. So glad I got to meet him.
