My very detailed tasting notes...
"Darkness! Nice one this. Appropriate, as just bought a new bike too. :)"
-
• #26856
Once again, its a no from me as I'm still in Kent.

Iain! Can we ever let you out of our sight?
Can you take public transport there and lift a pint with the other hand?
-
• #26858
sadly as i have to help a friend early the next day, so its probably a good thing im out. But if i tried, it would be an hour journey what wouldve been a quick 30 min ride.

West's on tour
Sounds about right

The Acton Swan is doing well enough on its food offerings it requires table bookings for Friday & Thursday nights.
@Sifta took us to the The Old Packhorse, which did not seem to have a spare table.
so we then followed him to The Lamb.First song on the background music?
'Bela Lugosi's Dead' by Bauhaus

We definitely need to go back there and play the jukebox properly.
That was lovely, shame I can't come for a while.
Bring on the homework.

• #26868
I'm shocked they didn't even have the live version from Trinity Hall.
-
• #26870
Yes, that's all very well, but we're getting sidetracked, back to Bristol in 1979.
-
• #26871
I was wrong it was 1980.

• #26872
Do we need to consider a(nother) new home?
If The Acton Swan has fooded out of our grasp,
do we move to The Lamb,
which appeared to have much more capacity,
and,
a better range of beers,
or do just get our act together and book a table at The Swan? -
• #26873
Tsk, tsk. :)
-
• #26874
Well, I won't be able to be there for a while, and I'd turn up anywhere you choose, but I'd avoid changing venues unless absolutely necessary. The Swan should still work if you book? Obviously, if all who come want to move, do move. It's just that in the past changing venues without need has often proved disastrous. :)
