Oh, Iain. I guess it's much of a muchness whether it happened after Wests or where it did happen, but get better soon.

Up for it tonight. Bike a bit broken but just about rideable, so hopefully there won't be any further issues en route.

Warmest evening since July,
we did not have to retreat indoors.

"Worms", not "Wurms". A "Wurm" in German is a worm (although the plural is "Würmer", not with an 's' as in English 'worms'). "Worms" is pronounced differently than English 'worms' and instead almost rhymes with 'forms' (plus a voiceless 's' instead of the voiced one on the end).
The term for this pogrom, the first one of this size against Jews, I think, is Gzerot Tatnó (various transliterations are common):
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rhineland_massacres
It's such a sad story how they were continually discriminated against, expelled, and murdered over centuries in many separate incidents. These cities in their modern guises now welcome the designation as UNESCO World Heritage sites. Let's hope that it'll lead to a continued and lasting revival of Jewish life there.
Here's the web-site associated with the successful bid:
There are more good summary articles on the history (only in German) here:

Weather's looking fine!
This is why I'm keen...
What times sunset?
-
• #26793
Sunset: 19.14,
Dusk: 19.47.I'll be setting off at 18.30 with a light front & back.
These (very) outer west London drivers need all the advantages I can give them. -
• #26794
LOL
Also, whats the lock situation? thin travel cable lock or D-lockand cable?
Bike is being prep'd as i am. Ill probably be there earlier.
And yeah, healed up but fitness of a geriatric buffalo. Will wheeze and splutter the full journey.
-
• #26795
Plenty of railings nearby across he street.
I use a cable (for front wheel) and D-lock for cable end, frame rear wheel -
• #26796
There is adequate onstreet bike parking and some additional nearby railings.
Ah! Found it! What's the normal course of action, we near our bikes or not? Wish I could find my hip lock pouch...
-
• #26797
We're normally attempting to resemble civillians in the courtyard beer garden.
Never seen any indication that any bike has been tampered with,
(except for local residents halfords bso in gradually worsening state). -
• #26798
Arrived. Bikes through back. Out back.
-
• #26799
That worked well!
A 2nd debut for @ChainBreaker at a(nother) Wests.@NorthLondonLight can at some stage regale us with the heritage apple varities planted earlier in the year, and, maybe, this time, next year, bring along some edible samples.
(Damsons; not at peak ripeness, and I'll need to take a short step ladder with to reach those remaining).

So after all this talk about my aftershocks, they're now broken... Really annoyed about it.
I really want to come back, this time with ppl there.
