Is the nds-mounted jousting pole default, or on the options list?

I've got one on my Babboe City Mountain (which is an underrated bike IMO, but I'm not looking forward to getting any spares post-Brexit). It seems fine. 12 months old, no grief yet. The only thing I don't like is the shifter needs a few turns to get from bottom to top end, which does my wrist no favours.

whizz with then I think
Good at warranty-ing them when they break? ;-)

Yeah that stuff is faff, we don’t really deal with them because compared to rohloff / alfine etc it’s just hard work and not many people run them

Okay thank you

Help me out here:
Side panels or a box? -

They are a bit faffy those shifters. You also don't get the full range while static. And it can be a bastard to operate, almost impossible if the cover goes missing

This, forks often go south when faced with hard use, work fine for family use though (folk tend not to put 200kg and ram them into things so much as commercial use do).
GSD I've seen my fair share of good and bad examples (several with a literal hole in the frame, weld/burn't through, bent back ends, motor mounts not where the motor mount holes are, brake mounts so badly welded on that needed to 'adjust' them with large tools), even though, they genuinely fit everyone, the mad seat tube angle and very adjustable bar/stem comb means 4'11 to 6'2 fit fine and handle fine for folk who are not used to a cargo bike.
Benno is a nicer bike from a riders perspective and in terms of neat details/quality of parts fitted (sell them too so am likely biased), but would suggest 5'1 is the min rider size in the real world (get the low top tube version). Benno accesories look equal in photos/spec, but in reality the Benno racks are far nicer made if your a welding perv, same for the kids rear seat pads think they are made from Sorbaphane so very comfy and long lasting, vs the Tern offering which is a thin piece of average grade foam wrapped in vinyl, backed with cardboard that will not last past 2 years.

I want to make my own cargo seats, what would people recommend as a cover / to upholster them in? Something hardy asf and waterproof.
Also IF someone has done this before can they recommend a good foam / cushion? Needs to be thick enough and comfortable to sit on for 30-40mins at a time I guess.

There are some companies that offer memory foam/gel type materials with all weather covers for motorbike seats, as like a seat cover that velcro's on. No idea of the names of them but they aren't that much, can probably work out what materials they use and fab your own.

Nodding.
Still want a bullitt!

You can get a one turn for them, you just have to change the interface down at the hub. The hump in the middle that you have to pedal thru still exists though. Also the action is a bit heavier so there's that to consider for your wrists too!

i'm happy to help you install a bafang though
Hey Max, thanks for the offer, but I'm not able to do it myself with the time commitment. I need a place where I can drop it off and then pick it up. I understand it'll be more expensive, but I just sold off 300 records to vinyl pimp so I have a bit of extra cash to delegate it to a shop.

Ridgeback cargo bike
In Denmark you can buy their 3-wheeler in a chain of supermarkets, under their own budget brand, which not exactly known for its quality. Price is £1600 less too, despite the higher local VAT. Brexity reasons maybe.
That Raleigh one looks like a really good bet, Batavus make great city bikes and is a more premium brand if anything.

I used those kneeling garden pads things, but I didn't upholster it and I definitely wasn't going for bespoke craftsmanship.

Are the supermarkets badging up/marking the bikes with their branding?
Could you link to any pictures? -

I have a bunch of crashmat foam I salvaged from a climbing wall. You're welcome to a couple of square feet. It's pretty dense and hard wearing.

After 9 years of family fun, commutes, shopping, camping, school runs, tip runs and general goffing about I am passing my Bullitt onto my little brother to use it for the same. My kids are too big and I can't justify keeping for non-kid stuff.
Thought I would share that on this thread as other cargo owners would appreciate how attached you get to a cargo and therefore how this feels like a sad day! Like allot of us I have a load of other bikes but I have the most and best memories with the cargo.
RIP Bullitt. Training it up to Milton Kenyes now.

That's a shame, your brother is very lucky!
More pics of this rad looking Bullit please
Rode a gsd 2 years back, good bike but the new one is fugly and suspension is expensive / not required etc.
The Benno is a far nicer looking bike, the bigger wheels make for a better ride too.
Gsd would do the job, but we both thought this was a better spec / build. Plus aesthetics are worlds apart.
