I don't think Jonathan Vaughters was at the Olympics.

Vlasov to Bora-Hansgrohe. They are quietly building a very decent GC roster.

What's happening to Astana? I thought he was their main guy.
-

Vino is happening. He's a vampire, need to put a stake through his heart to stop him running the team.
They've just seven riders currently under contract for next season, with a career total of five wins between them.

I assume Fuglsang will ride for them again. I can't see who'd take a punt on what I assume is his huge contract

chaves to jv!

On Bouhanni, I suspect UAE will be happy enough to lose his salary if Ackermann is joining and won't push too hard on a severance deal.

Thought you meant Jumbo Visma, Vaughters makes more sense.

Annoyingly I’m in Catalonia for the vuelta and it comes nowhere near us! I’ve already packed some new tyres for my bike ready to ride over and watch it somewhere. Arse

Is this like The Least Expected Day? Watched the trailer, looks like a copy, anyway, I ,booked’ a time slot (I hated me for doing it somehow, this theatre thing sounds so stupid): https://planb.teamjumbovisma.com/

I'd imagine UAE would be delighted to lose Bouhanni's salary too, given he is riding for Arkea-Samsic.

Yes, the red kit in the Tour was a bit of a clue...

On University Challenge last night neither Oxford Brookes nor Queen Mary-London knew which team Lopez and Vlasov rode for this year. Oxford Brookes Etheridge said Movistar. This is what grade inflation leads to.

I wish I could make a gif of Paxman mangling 'Vlasov' in a way which would put even Rob Hatch to shame.

George Bennett to UAE as well.

Make that a 100km team time-trial.

100km time trial
40km technical time trial; mad turns and road furniture
3 milan san remo distance stages with hills
only one mountain stage -
• #36244
Without looking it up I'm not even sure who Lopez was riding for last or this year. Edit- wait it is Movistar, I thought it was but Will's post about the Oxford guy made me doubt it.

So is there anyone left on the market after UAE’s spending spree?
-
• #36246
They’ve done a pretty decent job of signing up support riders for Pogacar.
-
• #36247
^^Actually the question was about the 2020 season. Also, not a guy.
I'm not convinced that Pogacar is much, if at all, better than Roglic so he will need a better team to help him out. Especially if he rides two grand tours next season.

Ineos’s Vuelta team announced.
Could Bernie win three GTs before his 25th birthday?

Shame Pogacar isn't there as well, would love to see him, Roglic and a fit Bernal go up against each other.

Pogacar isn't better than Roglic? Please share your workings.
So JV can crush it with their 1-2-3 in the Olympic TT?
