really like them for gravel. I usually like quite narrow road bars.
Any bar with a flare end up feeling narrower which help.
Normally ride 44cm but a flared bar made it feel like a 42cm

Has anyone ever successfully whittled down the bike collection to one swissarmy style allrounder bike and stuck with it?
I rarely take out the dedicated road bike anymore, the racks and guards commuter isn't too different from the offroad gravel bike. I'm considering one allrounder with maybe two wheelsets? -

Another reason why Scotland should get independent and join the first world gravel of the EU

It was some of the best I’ve ridden if I’m honest.

I do find the SES AR handlebar does it perfect:

It's completely doable. I've been lucky enough to have a garage so have two bikes - identical geometry (one custom copied the other) but one cheaper with big tires for tooling around local trails and gnarlier single track, the other a bit posh, narrower tires and guards for commuting and road distance. Besides the build/cost the only real difference is the wheels (and fenders). Probably moving to a smaller place soon and may have to lose one of the bikes. Bit annoying but not the end of the world.

Maybe but not really. On paper I could. Would recommend using the same brand/model wheelsets and a 2x setup.

I’m trying this just now - road bike and Steamroller gone. Replaced with a Croix De Fer with 650b, flat bars, rack and mudguards. So far so good.

I have 7 bikes in my flat.

Rumours of gravel near Manchester are greatly exaggerated

I’ve got Pass Hunter with 650b and 700c wheelsets and super-compact 2x. Very happy with it! I guess there always will be a better bike for this specific ride, so it requires a bit of “ride what you have” mindset.
(I still remember myself riding my fixed bike everywhere because I didn’t have anything else).

No illicit coast path gravel in gravel in Cornwall this morning.

No. I think it’s a fools errand unless absolutely essential. Bikes store quite easily with a wheel or two off.

Ah yes this trail up to Hartshead Pike is a bit brutal.
-
• #20373
Totally possible. I had my Straggler set up for this as "jack of all trades, master of none", the compromise is that the bike will never excel at either, with some models (OPEN WIDE?) performing both tasks better

Scotland has better gravel and better weather than the rest of UK it seems.. If it wasn't for the midges
About the same as these Eastons AX bars (marked 46cm).
I really like them for gravel. I usually like quite narrow road bars.
