Seen the videos on twitter of this earlier, felt sick watching the woman get punched as it looked like she was knocked out the way she fell and hitting your head on a supermarket floor has the potential to be life changing, reading that article saying only minor injuries were sustained is a nice surprise

Thats entirely fair Mark, I'm clearly missing a bunch of nuance myself after a really shit week with little sleep.

Good point, I'll not blame him for failing to off Farage then.

I lol’d at your reply, not in a mocking way, and know well the feeling of shouting into the void. Thanks for pointing out the efforts Clapton has made for projects relating to his transgressions.
I’m not cancelling the cunt because I don’t believe cancelling works or is beneficial for society in the long run. Plus it’s kind of stupid to ‘erase’ someone based on something they said or did 40 years ago. That said, I wasn’t aware of his sexual crimes; I only knew he was an underhanded cunt who lusted after his mate’s wife. For those, he can get bent, only jail time is suitable for that.

honestly, at this point the term might as well be added to the list of meaningless scare words / phrases used by righty tighties to boogeymanify progressives.
see:
woke
virtue signalling
feminazietc.

I suppose at least Eric avoided progressive rock

Clapton has only atoned because you can't get away with holding those views anymore. He was still banging on about Powell as late as 2007.
Honestly Clapton, what a hill to die on.

Super depressing forecast of youth violence exploding this summer with lockdown ending and building on the impacts of the pandemic and ongoing economic factors impacting vulnerable kids. London forecast to have the highest teen killings in over a decade as a result

Nonce nuance.
I'm all for Stonehenge being able to think with more than one viewpoint in his head, whist obviously falling on the right one of those, that's a pretty good thing to be able to do. Clapton is a cunt, people being able to atone for being a cunt is important, otherwise all cunts are stuck as cunts no matter what they do, so why try. Trying to atone doesn't automatically grant atonement, but attempting it is better than doubling down on cuntyness. -

Don't think many people should lose sleep if his plane goes down though, maybe for the pilot.

Just saw another clip of spiderman. Looks like the supermarket worker was pulling on/assaulting his female friend which is when he turns on her. Doesn't make his actions right of course.

Her sister was Mick Fleetwood's missus.
@Stonehedge My original post about Clapton was just pointing out the irony of him using the term "discriminated audience" given his track record. Some people love to paint themselves the victim.
He may well have apologised and tried to atone, but that's a big fucking 180 from what he said on stage and the things he said about Hendrix - one eye on sales maybe, I just don't buy it. I won't be cancelling, I never liked his awful music anyway, but happy that others might.
Judge a man by the company he keeps - Clapton's mates with Ed Sheeran apparently, which should be enough for anyone to bin him...
