Budget will probably go out the window already but this one is going to be decent 😁

you should have made the effort for LaVita to be honest.... Anyway....can't wait to see this build! (A LaVita would shame this build but carry on)

A few bits on. Vcls seatpost i picked up from @KieranHC a while ago and saddle out of the parts box. A bit of invisiframe on and bar and stem combo from CRC for £34 the stem is a stupid design with the back to front face bolts but nicely made and pretty light and the bars are nice and managed to reign the budget back in a bit with the bargain 3t cockpit so budget back on track for now.

Excited to see the progress! Keenly following this. You'll probably have me regretting ever selling it!

Love these bikes, been quite tempted by a few on ebay recently.

I did see a couple of nice ones on ebay but all 2k with the stock fulcrum 5's which seemed a bit strong.

Bits already arrived a new Absolute Black 50t ring from @vitalspark and brakes and levers from @Dicko thanks both 👍 i think I think I've sourced a rear mech and cassette plus rotors on here but still waiting on those. New cranks on their way and nice carbon wheels ordered but they'll probably take a couple of weeks.

This gonna be good! What's the spec on the wheels you've ordered?

Venn var 30 FW tubeless carbon rims on Bitex 24h polished centre lock hubs with silver Cxrays. Should weigh 1260g + valves and tape. Built by DCR.
Polished cranks coming too and with the black chainring should match up nicely with the wheels. All silver looks too retro and all black just doesn't seem to look right on this colour frame. -

Not quite on par with the wheels that are specced on a LaVita but I guess you had to compromise somewhere.
Agree about the mix of silver and black, should look ace on that frame.

I think the LaVitas are probably sub kilo but yeah corners had to be cut 😉

Yea. Thought this looked like a good buy though: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/284340369887
I decided I wanted to stick with rim brakes though. Compatibility with existing wheels etc

Always liked these frames, Dick's one was
predictably black with gumwallsawesome -

Wow the frame looks really nice in Black. Shame he had to spoil it by hanging all that cheap trash off it 😂

Crank arrived and chainring on. Its more polished titanium colour than silver so should look nice with the grey on the frame 🤞

This bangs
Covid shit and the associated public transport hassle meant i was able to talk my boss into letting me bring my bike into the shop. So now I'm able to ride a nice bike every day instead of a beater. I was looking for something nice ish like a Caad 12 or an Athein disc but this tidy looking Genesis Zero disc came up courtesy of @Soulnerd and i thought it justified the extra on my original budget. I really wanted a La Vita but a recent spike in sales for these highly coveted bikes meant i had to take my £1500 and heavy heart elsewhere and just hope that for the same money i could build myself something even close to the glorious La Vita. Here's the F+F which is in near perfect condition so off to a good start
