Nice. Pedals look bit anachronistic tho... 😉

Thanks!
A man chooses. I chose something different. I chose the impossible. I put 2018 Look pedals on an old italian bike.
I tried older Campagnolo branded Look pedals but those weren't any good. At least not for me.
Maybe I'll replace them with vintage clipless Super Record pedals some day but that'll be just for coffee rides at that point. For now it needs to go fast.

Anyone know which would have been the fork supplied with a 1996 (I think) C40 E1?
I’ve got what seems to be a matching steel fork (not precisa) and just bought a carbon star fork off eBay. I’m probably going to go with the star fork but interested to hear if anyone knows when the other fork would have been specced with the C40? Was the star fork only introduced for mk ii C40s?

Interesting to see he was using a similarly looking selcof team rather than a DA7410. Maybe as a result of a failure with the DA one...

Good spot, looks like a precisa with special lug work.
Raises the question of when the star fork actually was introduced, seemingly around 2000 though can find no confirmation of that. Still no idea about the other fork I have with the E1 paint job.

New to the group, still finishing the build. Changing the Calipers (previous one had issues with the spring) and levers to a modern--ish so it would be rideable for me.. :D

Hi. Is there any way for me to tell if this is a kosher Colnago Master Olympic and whether this is a scrap iron piece of crap or actually a decent bike? Bloke local to me just rebuilt it and is selling.

Thanks. I'd found those; still not sure...
Couple more photos. Ive also asked for any photos he's got before the reno job and where he got it.
Okay so it was an original F+F he had stripped and resprayed white. Originally one of the normal multicoloured master Olympic. Still 400e…

Master should have Gilco indented tubes, tubes in your picture look round.
Post 2804 shows how clearly visible the Master tubes are.
I think your white frame is an Arabesque. The lugs are a tribute to the lugs used by Gloria, where Ernesto Colnago started his career. -

Arabesque has other lugs.
