ROI won't have everything.
I'd imagine costs are an issue, as yes, in theory you can buy elsewhere.
Medical supply chains I imagine aren't easily changed either due to regulations / NHS rules.
Perhaps some items also really aren't available. The minutes of the meeting may be online at the Stormont hasards page.
98% sounds like a lot that's true.

Court orders ponies from England stuck in customs in NI ordered to be released to owner here.
Small errors in paperwork made by vet, nothing major.
Would not surprise me if some rules are silly (forms pen colour is one for some paperwork) but again, brexit dividends.

"This additional bureaucracy is effecting the economy of Northern Ireland."
Ha ha. Illiterate BBC reporters.

“They lied to us. They’ve used us to get Brexit. Without the boats going up the Thames, Brexit would never have happened,”

It was routine, pre-1992, with the advent of the Common Market, for source documents to have be signed in blue ink, to prove that 'someone' had not just photocopied a sheet from a previous consignment.

Ah that's why, tx, I didn't know that :)

“We could have got more fish and created a better future for the youngsters. It’s a missed opportunity.”
Honestly, their still as thick as shit. They could drag all the fish out of the ocean but they’ve got nobody to sell it too.
Also, from the current Tory councillor.
In a way, the fishermen were expecting something that couldn’t be delivered
Yeah if you’d said that before the vote, that would have been project fear!

Yep. No such thing as a free lunch. Or a free fish supper. In international trade negotiations you don't get something for nothing. Which it seems is what they thought they'd get.

It's far too soon, in political terms it needs to get to the point where people who voted for it cannot deny that it's been badly mishandled by Johnson and his band of clowns.
Even then it could simply reinforce the Conservative vote - for example if the EU apply tariffs to UK goods to counterbalance the state aid that's been flowing into Nissan UK since Brexit, the red-tops will pile in with a "Filthy remained Starmer betraying Britain!" schtick.
And as Brexit will be a death of a thousand cuts we may never get to the point where for e.g. the Hurricane Run's of the UK have their damascene moment.

Labour needs to get in first...
People that are Cons voters are also more likely to be Brexit voters, and Brexit voters are less likely to worry about money (note that you can be on benefits, but on stable ones with a council house, or middle class but be in an area with stupid living costs) / are pensioners / are older. (statistically speaking obv.)
So not sure in that sense the Brexit mess will harm the Cons much, Labour needs to attract votes.
Perhaps the sleaze scandals will do it, at least in local elections, who knows... -

Nah, just means we’ll have Hunt as PM by Christmas- if it cuts through sufficiently.
Although he’s going to have to deal with (potentially) losing Scotland, so may not last until 2024.

Isn't this just confirming to his voters that they got the real deal and he doesn't just pretend to be a scumbag to get votes?

I voted to remain!

Jeremy C'hunt? Ah well things can always get worse eh :)

Hunt? Surely Sunak, no?

Wrong colour for most Tories

I thought they were lining up Gove, given they've pretty much hidden him away for months.
-
• #29896
Yeah maybe
-
• #29897
Yeah I'm thinking Gove too, he's also the second suspect for leaking the Dyson e-mails, apparently.

This country deserves Priti Patel.

Is Gove that popular amongst the electorate? Or is the plan just to have him for a few years in between elections?

Is Gove that popular amongst the electorate?
But has that ever particularly mattered to the party members? They seem to be pretty far-removed from reality anyway.
But I definitely hear what you say. I'd say no he isn't - in limited experience of various bits of the country. And I am acutely aware from various recent developments, through Brexit, elections, etc. that I am not in touch with what the electorate think or would vote for.
However, isn't it the same for the alternatives? Hunt - gets a laugh or two when they play the Naughtie clip. Patel - I don't see that she's that popular other than 'getting rid of the forrins'. Sunak - he probably has the least baggage, but do people recognise him?
I don't mean to be glib, but surely they can import them from ROI or get assistance from ROI to do so via the EU? I feel like I'm missing a key point.
