  • oops wrong kemper

  • Paging @Skülly - cargo Pedersen!!!

  • I have made the point of UK housing market, interpret that

  • Current unscheduled project to turn a minivelo into a school runner/weekly shopper due to theft of main squeeze marin beast. I spammed the minivelo thread but no love. Blackburn Local on the front looks like will work . Any thoughts on rear rack/basket options for the back - blackburn looks too high.

  • very cool, wot minivelo is that? would the front rack not interfere with the funky fork suspension thingy. Maybe a tern cargo rear rack?

  • I want a bike my 4 year old can sit on the back of, while I carry her bike up front on a rack.
On the current mum bike it's not possible. I think the soma looks good.

  • I don't understand their logic though because you can get a brand new one from any UK dealer in most colours within about 10 days? There was a shortage but there definitely isn't now, unless you want EP8.

  • Random, is your one orange and did I just see you riding it through Teddington?

Rare to see a minivelo. Rarer to see the exact model being ridden that someone posted on the forum just a few hours earlier.

  • Good shout - they have one that follows the wheel arc too > updated moodboard.
It's a Dahon Hammerhead 5.0 - Of all the front basket options the blackburn looks to have the most adjustability but yes the suspension gizmo is a headache.

  • Nah not me - that is random - I don't really ride bikes - just do bad collages of them :-P

  • Er, I started looking at the Argo a couple of days ago as an alternative to a trailer. Im now absolutely convinced that I need a packster 70 and nothing less will do. Fucking internet.

  • I'll be setting up a page for donations towards me living my middle class utopia.

  • haha, you need Urban Arrow

  • I'm on the edge of working so I thought the packster might suit mixed paths better. Plus it's more expensive so must be more better.

The paths will have gravel on them.

  • Urban Arrow XL is quite capable for a bit of off road / gravel riding. If it’s really muddy then you’ll need different tyres but that’s true for all bikes really

  • Is the Enviolo a bit shit?

  • I would try my hardest to upgrade to Rohloff - budget allowing.

Lots of people clocking up miles on Nuvinci hubs though.

  • I was thinking I'd just try to get a rd and cassette.

    Thinking on the packster.

  • I don't recommend the Yasujiro, I'm told it's very noodley when loaded up.

  • We're still waiting on our demo 70, but I worry about the limited gear range of the Vario on a bike that heavy if you live in any sort of hilly place. Got plenty of 80 Varios rolling around Seattle just fine, but the 70 is on paper 5-9kg heavier than an 80...

  • Third incarnation of the ‘stedbox’ has gone down well with the doggo’s!
I’m totally in love with the way this thing rides...!
