¿Sin cámara por tubeless o es una palabra? O solo usa tubeless.

Yo he escuchado que a las llantas sin cámara les dicen tubeless. No recuerdo haber escuchado que les digan ‘sin cámara’, pero quizás sí se emplee.

A friend has a question about what type of bicycle to buy.. speak when he needs specific vocabulary. Literally nothing except "bicycle" in that sentence.

"Rueda" is also a region i think which is triple confusing.

Oh "to know"? and I also found out that "yo se" is "to know" which is way fucking easier than all the other options they used already: entender and comprender

You’re close, it’s I know. Saber is to know. Comprender and entender are slightly easier to conjugate because saber is irregular:

I know - yo comprendo - yo entiendo - yo sé
You know - tú comprendes, entiendes, sabes
He/she/it knows - el/ella comprende, entiende, sabe
They know - ellos/ellas comprenden, entienden, saben

*linguistic tidbit- ‘you’ is the formal version of ‘thou’. So while Spanish uses tú informally and Usted formally, modern English only uses the formal, contrary to popular belief.

@hippy - I am the same with Duolingo. I think I am not taking it in but it is not until I go back to practice (the broken icons) that I realise I must be retaining something. The wine doesn't help though!

Does anyone know a really good source for verb conjugation? I would like some kind of download that I could print off.

I like the app conjugato, it's Android, dunno about iPhone, nothing too special though as mainly just tables that can ask be found online, but you can customise a flashcard type practice thing and it has a bunch of rhymes that may come in useful.

I think there's slight differences in meaning but not loads, comprender being almost a cognate of comprehend, entender being like understand, so you really get it, saber as to know, like a fact or skill or something. Also have creer which is to believe but works like to know a bit, and conocer which is to meet or know a person or maybe a place.

I think I've done most of them in Duolingo but the fact I can only remember them when presented them to my eyeballs here means I clearly couldn't use them. I'll probably stick to "comprendo" because it gets the meaning across and I can actually remember it :)

Just like in English there's a fair amount of crossover, comprender work well as it's a bit of a cognate so easy to remember. Saber is quite good if you get no lo sé stuck in your head. I think saber can be used for taste too. Me encanta saber de cerveza. That's probably used wrong for that though.

Usar saber puede ser tricky. Aquí, tú dices que te interesa saber información sobre la cerveza: su historia, sus variedades, etc.

El sabor = the taste, y deriva del verbo saber:

Yo sé (usualmente con ‘a’ = like. Por ejemplo, yo sé a mango, dame un beso.) (Si te parece raro que no se dice ‘sepo’, no eres el único)

Mini-course on youtube, the 10 lessons were a great introduction before i moved here, then purchased the full course (80quid) because I liked the style so much, goes a lot more in-depth and have learnt so much from him.

The free version is a great all rounder, very useful for conjugation and all 10(?) of the Spanish tenses

Possibly not the best year to ask but how’s living in Madrid?

Settled in ok, thanks mainly to my (gata) partner who sorted all the paperwork/appointments for residence card etc.
Shipped my bike over (along with the rest of my life), took a while to get used to the chaos on the roads but now enjoying it!
Looking forward to the approaching summer if no more restrictions..

ahh, Estoy bajo la impersión que necesitas ser de tercera (o más) generación para ser Gato/a.
Never used or heard "sepo" for taste before, though I'm relatively new to this Spanish thing. Still struggling with stem changes and getting a grip of moods tbh.
