I've been grinding them for the flower beds, but wondering if there's a better use...
Why on earth would you waste good beans?!
-
• #20578
I’d use an aero press and just steep it for a little longer/less water etc
You can put the grounds on the flowers either way so may as well make yourself a brew whilst you’re at it

Does anyone on here have or experience of the xeoleo grinder? I’ve see. The James Hoffman review and for the money it seems fair.

Use v60 and just start planning at around the last 1/4 of the bag so coffee sizes mean I use it all up... Easy enough to make diff size coffees using a 1:16 coffee/water ratio

I collect them in a separate jar and use them to make my flatmate's coffee

I second Bastard Blend. I've made some (accidentally) really tasty blends this way

Yep, another vote for bastard blend here.

I do bastard blend too but I would totally do neu's method if I had flatmates

Thats sort of what I do.
I collect mine into a separate jar and make my occasional afternoon coffee with them. Single origin for breakfast, bastard blend in the afternoon.

Does anyone have a severin coffee machine? I’m in a right pickle

My Wilfa Svart stopped working today in a strange way. It starts grinding OK, but no ground coffee makes it into the basket. It all just collects in the burrs preventing any beans making it to the burrs.
I can’t see any blockage in the chute between the burrs and the basket so I’m not really sure what’s happening.
Has experienced anything like this? Is it dead?

Mine dis that. Probably just a bit blocked. Give the grind size mechanism a good couple of twists and try again.

Does anyone need milk jugs?
I have a brand new "Dial In" 600ml Milk jug from Barista & Co in pearl black Ti finish.
It has a minor ding so them sent me a new one and don't need this one back. Priced at £22.95, it is a very nice jug!The other one is from Doppio, 300ml stainless steel teflon coated although I have drunk most of the telfon.
Both free and as always a forum donation will be appreciated.
Pick up from New Cross SE14.
Shipping UK wide is possible but I will force you to order Champagne & pay for postage.

I’ve just had a revelation - pairing a Jaffa cake with an espresso.
Might just have been the beans I have at the moment but the sweet and tangy Jaffa cake went perfectly with the depth and punch of the coffee.
ends biscuit chat

Jaffa cake is not a biscuit

If that 600ml jug is still available I’d happily come and pick it up this weekend.

Still available yes - drop me a line!

Last line is just asking for trouble!
I just ordered this. Numerous boxes ticked and then saw the part that said ''...if coffee could be a jaffa cake, this would be it...''. Can't wait to try it!

Anyone tried these guys? Am I missing something, or are they doing anything special beyond what any other producer/roaster does? All the roasters I’ve spoken to seem to have individual relationships with small producers, is there any real point of difference here?

Have we covered this yet?

Reads like a very good advertorial. I wonder who at the Guardian knows who at Easy Joes?
That said, the under canopy growing is quite important I think? Isn't deforestation for bigger coffee crop an ongoing problem?
Wait until the last coffee of the day and mix them in with some of the new bag to make a bastard blend.
