Those Two Stitch straps look great on the wrist. Was thinking of ordering a honey leather one for my FOIS. Still waiting on my new spring bar tool to fit the Forstner flat link ;-)

Very nicely hand-made and excellently finished IMO. The edging is finished solid black.

Not wearing Garmin for a change. Nothing fancy but something I've liked more than I thought I would. I think the extra chunkiness gives it a bit of its own character. Might take gilt version in retrospect.

Always wanted one. As a complication, its really different. (i think... obviously as one of resident experts, youll be like, theres this one and that one oooo and that one too...)

As my birthday is coming up I find myself thinking about watches again. I think I'd like a manual wind with a movement that's nicely decorated and well exposed through the caseback. I think I'll send an email to Dornblüth to enquire. Anybody care to mention other brands/models?

I think Dornblüth has at least a 1 year wait. And that’s optimistic. Around £4-5k too. I’d be looking at something more available, Grand Seiko maybe? Although they like to put that silly logo on the see through caseback. Maybe Speedmaster with the sapphire sandwich? (I can hear the pitchforks)

I don’t mind the waiting time. From what I could gather online the price seems about my budget - at least for the basic three hands version, don’t really know about other models.

I thought about a manual wind spring drive but I’ve already got the GMT from GS. Not sure I’m up for a speedy or chrono in general.

Have you looked at Habring? Eg the Felix. Minimal finishing but done in quite an interesting way. In many ways less fancy than GS but more “by hand” and less industrial, arguably.

Also, as mentioned in the thread CB links to, some of the higher end manual Nomos movements are actually quite nice looking.
