  • Nice.
It’s a bit slow on the watches here this morning. Keeping it old school in the office.

  • Speedmaster is on the backup strap while I clean the other one. This is a Two Stitch charcoal one, it’s pretty nice, quite a bit chunkier than the calf Rios one.

  • Nice blue dials

  • Cheap preamp unit in my amateurish home “studio”, mostly used as a laptop stand.

Here’s some better pics of the strap if anyone’s interested.

  • Thanks for the suggestions! I'm looking for a daily watch that is a bit fancy and a bit more 'serious' than my golden Turtle.
That Sinn is quite nice, I really like the matte finish.
Is funny that you mention the SRPC11 because I tried that one on in a shop a while ago, but it didn't do much for me, I found it a bit boring.

  • Oh wow that’s amazing.

  • Breitling Aviator 8 is genuinely a nice watch for the money if you’re shopping in that £2k-3k-ish/41mm wheelhouse, for a kind of “nice but tool-y” thing. Also the Bell & Ross BR V2-92. Good bracelet available on both of them.

  • Is that the SLA037? It's lovely!

  • Hi all,

looking for a bit of advice, trying to decide between a Vostok Amphibia at £109, or a SteelDive 1952 Fifty Fathoms Homage at £164...... mind is telling me cheaper Vostok as I love the look of it, will only be swimming in sea a bit with it but mostly not using for its actual intended purposes as live in Tottenham and dont wanna go in the marshes tbh

Anyone had any experiences with either?

  • Yeah, the SRPC11 will suffer in comparison as it's just not in the same finishing league as the others. Well, the good news is that there's millions of watches that fit your brief. The bad news is that there's millions of watches that fit your brief! Are there any more details (budget / size etc) you can give the hive mind to help on - there's nothing more fun than spending other people's money :)

  • I kinda like how Arne did it:

A clock design afapted for a watch.

  • fuck your budget and get a Monster watches modded Seiko? (€225)
(other colours/ combos are possible IIRC)

  • hahah wow, these are heavy!

  • Love that. Out Nomos-ing Nomos.

  • Some of these Seiko custom homs are attractive.

Just the duty / import / delivery ball ache.

  • Think the Vostok Amphibia is self wind, is that gunna do my head in?

  • Steeldive are decent, if there’s a San Martin version, I’d go for that.

Spinnaker does a nice homage too.

  • Great strap. Where you get it from?

  • That is great! which one is it? Its not the same as @edscoble s?

  • My mind is telling me cheaper Vostok as I love the look of it, will only be swimming in sea a bit with it

Sounds like you have a winner!

You love the look. You buy a diver for the occational swim. I see only win win.
