I dunno, there's loads
Current favourites are Vittoria Barzo. Roll pretty quick, last ages, and available in plenty of sizes from 2.1 - 2.6

I find the Minion SS roll well and also dig in through corners. There's not a great deal of braking grip available, but then I'm not going fast enough to need it most of the time. All tyres are going to be a compromise if you want to keep some cornering ability, and I'm not going to compromise the off-road performance (any more than it is already) of the 529 to make tarmac easier. Hence thinking about a different type of bike. And also because I still want a Slate.

Yeah, but the problem with raised shoulders is that they're shite on the road, and really what gravel bikes in the UK are bikes that work off the road and on the road.

You seem to be agreeing with me, in a way that sounds like you are disagreeing with me.

Rocket Ron’s
I thought they were quite good. But I’ve not tried many knobblies.
What’s a better mud tyre? Nanos?

• #15519
The bike in your post, in XL, is not commonly available I suspect.

Anything that's good in the mud will be shit on the road, this is a fact.

I don't suppose anything is at the moment

You know the SuperX will take the Lefty Oliver?
65 ha. A nice hardtail for mtb but perhaps not gravel grinding. Still probably good with the current weather and slop.
By my memory of riding this time last winter. Its shit everywhere and a cx bike narrow tyres would be best.
I did have a lot of fun in the first lockdown on 40c wtb nanos but everything was dry. I'd ride road out and mess about in north downs. But you take more abuse than on a xc hardtail
